Fiat Seicento Sporting 1999

It is my first car and it is the perfect car to start with. The only thing is the wiper speed but I am getting used to it.

I own a Seicento Schumacher sporting limited edition which I bought in June due to my Peugeot being written off. I decided to downsize because of ever increasing running costs, Iam more than pleased, it drives like a go-cart, lovely, comfortable seats, very nippy with smooth fuel injected 1.1 litre fire engine. Very light electric power steering and very economical cheap insurance, road tax etc, surprisingly roomy interior and not very bumpy either. Time will tell with the reliability but so far so good, also, build quality seems good - the doors shut with a German sounding thud, lots of extras tints alloys fogs, everything. I have owned Fiats in the past and its good to be back.

Fiat Seicento 1998

The Fiat (which stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow) Seicento is one of the worst cars you can buy. The safety rating is diabolical and the worst of any car ever made since the testing scheme was introduced. Secondly, when I had my Seicento I had it for less than 12 months and it broke down 8 times. So, in conclusion, the Seicento is not only the most dangerous car around but it is also one of the most unreliable.

I’ve had a Seicento for the last 4 years, it was cheap to buy and I’m not surprised why. 7 clutch cables snapped, a plastic disc that holds the cable also snapped 4 times, new tyres exhaust system, a new "cat",alternator, battery,handbrake cables and linkage. If you want to keep your local garage accustomed to a good life style by all means buy a Fiat seicento, otherwise do what I’m doing, dumping it to the scrap man - Robert Smith from Lincolnshire

Fiat Seicento 1999

My Seicento has been the perfect town / woman’s car. Her steering is excellent making parking the easiest of any car I’ve owned. I have had no problems at all in the 5+ years that I have owned her. The only thing I would like changed is the windscreen wiper speed, which goes from intermittent to frenetic, with nothing in between. I wanted to buy a new Seicento but Fiat has been very short sighted and stopped making them.
