I went from a Lexus IS 220 D SE to the Audi and found the Audi to be a much better drivers car. Better MPG better acceleration and decent handling.

A drivers car with practicality. Feels like it has been made to last. This 2.0 TDI SE has a smooth delivery from the turbo and will pull sixth gear comfortably at 70 returning over 44 mpg. It beats our Lexus IS 220D in almost everything. Against it the BMW 3 series looks bland and the Merc looks dated. I wish there was more height in the loadbay as the floor could have been lower and there is not enough storage areas in the front. But who cares when it drives so well!

This car is everything I ever wanted in a car BUT five months into owning it, the gearbox had to be replaced. It’s been great ever since... until now... yes, another serious gearbox fault, at the cost of nearly £1300, not what you expect from a quality car, four years old with 36,000 miles on the clock. I didn’t want to part with this car but now I’m wondering whether I should get rid before it costs me more than it’s worth. Full marks to the Audi garage though, a no quibble courtesy car for as long as it takes to repair it.

Owned BMW for years, and this new car is a revelation in terms of poise, understated class, refinement and economy. A key point is as an Audi driver I do not get the usual negative stigma associated with owning the BMW product and other drivers appear to not show the the same level of resentment. The service levels also exceed that of BMW’s take it or leave it attitude. All in all after one months feedback - a class car at a great price given the size.

This is a brilliant family car with more than enough space for a family of four (and jack russell) and comes with a good level of safety features. I went for this car originally because you know with Audi you’re getting a quality car with well thought out design and without being ripped off. 12 months on from buying this car it’s still the car I’d choose again today.

After 67,000 miles in almost three years, I’ve come to rate this Audi very highly. It has been totally reliable, very comfortable on long journeys, extremely practical and the quality interior has remained untarnished throughout. The auto gearbox is good and the average fuel consumption remains around 44mpg. Niggles? I shouldn’t have gone for the fancy multi-spoke alloys (which are a pain to clean and quickly look dirty again) and there are other cars - like my Alfa 147 - which are more fun to drive. It is a very good car which is difficult to fault, but best summed up as one for the head, rather than the heart.

What a LOT of car you get for your money. This one is a beast and a really fun to drive. I’ve only had it for 4 weeks and 2k miles and hardly had the opportunity for it to show me what it can really do yet but I’m itching to find out. Mpg around 46 and acceleration like you-know-what off a shovel. Bose sound system and DVD sat nav all add towards the experience. Brilliant car.
