Living in the city centre and working only 3 miles away I have decided to take the plunge and commit to one of the new electric cars now available. With congestion charges negligible and safety in heavy traffic much improved from the petrol moped I had considered I’m really pleased I got this. Yes you get some funny looks but its looks are not dissimilar to a Smart car and it has a top speed of 45mph, which is ample. I would really recommend you give this a try, it’s a cheap and effective mode of transport around town and gives you a warm smug feeling. I can really see these electric cars becoming more and more popular, although I admit I will be keeping my VW Golf to get me further afield!
