SEAT Toledo 2.0 TDI Sport DSG 2006

I bought this car with the arrival of my 1st child and 3 years on I am convinced I made the right decision. Its looks are either loved or hated, which makes it stand out from the mediocre looks of other family hatchbacks. The DSG gearbox is amazing. The extra height makes driving a more comfortable experience - and my wife does not feel intimidated by van and huge 4x4 drivers(!). Fuel economy is very good (50mpg on motorway) and it adapts very well to the driver’s mood. Make sure you get/install the rear parking sensors and you will have all the car you need.

When my R-reg started drinking similar amounts of petrol, I cleaned out the air filter with my vax, it was very dusty and full of moths. Got 320 miles out of the next tank (I use super unleaded). Fog lights are standard and you do have them (look to right of steering wheel) would check fuses and replace any burnt ones. If neither of these things are the case then ask Halfords or a garage quick! - Nikki from Devon

Great car, roomy both front and especially in the back, great for carrying 5 adults. I have just had to downsize to an Ibiza due to my family all having their own cars. Sorry to see it go. Only downer is parking, you would really need sensors fitted as standard. I was always frightened of young children around the rear of the vehicle...

Vision very poor when reversing but otherwise it is a good drive. Plenty of space for transporting goods especially with the high roof. December 2008 the engine conked out about a mile from home, the AA towed me to the Seat dealer and it turned out to be the flywheel on the engine. Cost of replacement £750. Seat gave me a goodwill payment of 40% in return due to the age of the car and relatively low mileage, but that took 11 months. December 2009 the ventilation fan and heater packed in. The heater motor had seized, cost of replacement was £350. Not the best advert for Seat.

SEAT Toledo Sport. 2006

Had mine since new and have no complaints. 140BHP Diesel is pokey and even when it’s loaded up it still pulls well and can bring a smile to the face. I would recommend to anyone.

SEAT Toledo Stylance 1.9TDI 2007

Just bought this second hand. After having a 51 plate Toledo. If you can see past the unusual exterior (which put us off to start with) and take the time to look around and have a drive you will see that this car has so much to offer. It drives well. Looking forward to going on our first holiday in it as the boot space is amazing. The drive is comfortable and the interior has all mod cons. You can also pick them up at unbelievable prices.

SEAT Toledo Toledo 2006

Had the car for three years from new. Does everything I require and more now as 60,000 miles on clock with no problems. But could with more power - standard 105 bhp. Anyone know how to get more power out of it ??

SEAT Toledo TDI Sport Special Edt 2007

Had the car for 1 year since new. The TDI 140 is a superb car but lacking that wee bit of oomph - had the ECU remapped boosting power to 190bhp and 395 torque. This is the car as it should have been. I will keep this car for a long time - need I say more.

I think this is a really good family car. Comes with all the mod cons, good safety featues and has lots of space and comfort. It’s reasonable to drive and reasonable to run - what else do you want? I think it’s very good value for money and looks good too.

Very very poor vision out, parking without sensors is a nightmare, sensors should be standard on all models at no extra cost, by far the worst car I have ever owned, do not buy one.
