The launch of the Peugeot RCZ marked the start of a dynamic new chapter in the history of Peugeot. The coupé, designed to be a special vehicle within the Peugeot range, is aimed directly at customers who see their cars as a source of driving enjoyment as well as daily transport. The name, RCZ, symbolises this special positioning as it will be the first Peugeot passenger car not to use the traditional numbering system with a central ‘zero’ or ‘double zero’.Designed to enhance the sheer enjoyment of driving, the RCZ is both dynamic (the top of the range model features an all new 1.6 litre THP 200 bhp engine) and responsible, offering an innovative blend of performance and environmental-friendliness. With its reduced weight, fine-tuned aerodynamics and modern engine technology, the entry level model has CO2 emissions of only 139 g/km. Due to the special nature of the vehicle, it will be built by Magna Steyr in Austria in a production centre that specialises in exclusive vehicles built in small volumes. The Peugeot RCZ Coupé was voted the most beautiful car of the year 2009 at the 25th International Automobile Festival.

Peugeot has turned its concept into a reality with the RCZ and it’s an absolute belter. Looks-wise, the RCZ is virtually unchanged from the show car and stands out thanks to its curving aluminium roof arches. It offers decent cabin space and a large boot, while the engines are punchy and frugal. Bes [...]

It really must seem like a big leap of faith to to many drivers out there to spend £25,000 on a french car. It certainly did to me, even as I nervously entered my pin number into Peugeot’s card machine. With so many good, small coupes from the Germans can Peugeot really make a competitor? The answer is absolutely YES. 110% YES. The process on deciding to go for the RCZ was a long one. I had tested the VW Scirocco and the Audi TT which had left me with mixed feelings. the TT felt as lively as a dead cat and the VW, while being a really nice car to drive, felt about as special as an ikea door. This led me to the RCZ. a car which will sell on looks alone. For me though it was in the driving that convinced me. The handling was grippy and steering informative at speed, the brakes had loads of feel and body roll was flat and minimal. Compared to the TT the RCZ felt alive rather than like a bowl of pudding. The interior was much nicer to sit in than the German cars too and DARE I SAY IT.. slightly better looking and upmarket in its feel. the RCZ Stunned me and after an hours test drive 4 months of car deliberation was put aside and the card was out. The RCZ has been called "A return to form for Peugeot" ... I’d say its more of a "return to form for small GT Coupes" ... and as a vivid car enthusiast, I am surprised it is THAT good!

Just bought this car after test drives both urban and motorway. Wow does this go even though diesel and with the standard ESP, it hugs the road even round mini roundabouts. Urban crawl driving is a pleasure, especially if you hang back and then zoom up behind the car in front - yes you can do this and still have great diesel consumption.. It is possible to get 65mpg if you follow the suggested gear changes which come up on your dashboard. GT comes with most of what you would want for a nice luxury drive, however plenty of accessories allow you to make the car your own - and I believe this has a limited production run so chances are your car will be unique.. Amazingly tax is only £110 per year and for my 9 yrs no claims the insurance looks about £360!!!!! Add this to the fab mpg and you get a really good deal. Inside the car you can have a full leather dashboard to match your seats (which sportily curve to fit your body snugly and comforably) Seats are fully electric as standard as are the gratefully used heated seats (think cold leather in the winter). Really worth a test drive let alone a simple sit in at the showroom Will turn heads...
