As one of the most competitive MPVs on the market, the Peugeot 807 offers quality and reliability. You can choose between a 2.0 and 2.2 litre engine for your Peugeot 807 – the 2.2 diesel has plenty of muscle and is ideal for easy cruising. Despite its size, the 807 is light and easy to drive and the cabin is refined and quiet, providing comfort for up to six passengers. The Peugeot 807 is versatile too and if you remove the second and third row of seats, you can enjoy a substantial 2,948 litres of load space.

Peugeot 807 consumer car reviews

Peugeot 807 2.0 HDi SE 2006

3 star review

I have owned my 807 Since 2007 and bought the car as a low mileage 1 owner from a Peugeot dealership. Initially the car was great. I have to agree that the interior is smart, the front seats can move to face the rear and the handling is fine for a big car. On long journeys the car comes into its own with cruise control and electric everything. Initially there were a few problems with electric window controls which were fixed on warranty. The 807 now has 35000 miles on the clock and it is starting to have problems. At around 32000 miles the dashboard began to illuminate with a whole host of problems. The worst by far is the "anti pollution system faulty" error message. This IS a problem associated with Peugeot models fitted with HDi. Had I known about this prior to purchase I would never have bought it. The dealership tell me that these cars "hate short trips". I would have thought that lots of buyers use the cars for short trips. Never the less this can lead to £1000 worth of repairs to the depollution filter system in the 807. I’m considering part excahnging the car now, I don’t want this again after another short trip! Nice car, but BEWARE you have been warned!!

Bought my 807 in March 2003 and it has been a credit to me, only covered 85k in it though! Superb motor to drive, very comfortable and plenty of torque from the HDI engine. Mpg isn’t bad when you take into account that I frequently carry 6 passengers and when im not carry passengers I’m carry large heavy objects so it affects the Mpg, usually I can get 52mpg on the motorways though about town it rarely exceeds 40mpg. I’d definately recommend one of these to people looking a large family MPV thats easy on the eye and even easier on the wallet!

One of the best MPVs on the market in the used MPV category. Very spacious and very quiet and responsive in the 2.2 HDI executive. With sliding doors and with 7 seats it provides a lot of space: 7 actual adult spaces and not 5 plus 2 children spaces in the rear like in a lot of MPVs. Have you ever tried to remove the seats to see what massive space you have - unbelievable. Only areas of trouble which I have had is a problem with air pollution fault, and wheel sensors. Also seat retraction is suspect to faults especially with the cable. Would purchase another one.

I bought the car for the internal space and the sliding doors - which are a huge boon with kids. The car is very comfortable to drive on long drives and achieves/maintains high speeds easily - but has poor acceleration. For a car it’s size I am happy with it’s handling. The internal layout gets a bit of getting used to but is very useful. However the niggles are quite numerous:- Due to it’s greater than normal width it is a tight fit in many car parks and I had dents in my doors thanks to other drivers in supermarket car parks within months. The upholstery on the drivers side has worn excessively. The electrics are unreliable with the electric sliding doors and windows stopping working when they feel like it. The aluminium tyre valves are prone to metal fatigue and snap off when you are putting air in. The service levels at the Peugeot garages seem poorer than other marque garages, in my experience compared to VW, Renault, Rover (RIP) & Honda.

Had the 807 from new having had the 806 previously. The 807 is a huge improvement in terms of comfort and style. First eleven months was dogged with a regular recurring problem which almost saw us hand the car back. Peugeot finally identified and fixed it and it has been great to drive since. Economy around town slightly disappointing but is good on longer runs. Five years and 34,000 miles on some od the trim is looking pretty worn and tatty but overall the car has provided excellent service. When it’s time to update another 807 will be right near the top of the list.

This has been an excellent car for us and our 3 kids. Never even considered before how practical sliding rear doors are for getting kids in and out especially when in tight supermarket spaces. Very spacious and the seats are very easy to remove and replace. Good handling and fine drive. Very pleased.
