The Nissan Qashqai+2 - sleeker and longer than the Qasqhai, with a helpful extra row of seats and an extra large glass roof. It's even more urbanproof!

1.5dCi n-tec - Like VW’s Touareg, the Qashqai is named after desert-dwelling nomadic tribe, but unlike the Saharan Touaregs, the Qashqais hail from South Western Iran. What you may not know is that the new Qashqai n... read more

This is my wife’s car. I’ve always driven Fords so this is our first anything else. The diesel is underpowered compared to the tdci but drives well, handles well, standard equipment way above Ford. panoramic roof is fantastic. Build quality is great. I wanted an s-max but now glad I was overruled. Buy one.

Test drove the following cars: Mazda5, new Toyota Verso, Outlander, Captiva, S-Max, C-Max and Insignia. S-Max still best of the bunch but way to pricey (and a bit too big for the missus). But Qashqai+2 not that far behind. Excellent diesel-engine, great seats (leather in mine), very large panoramic roof, room enough in the boot (family of 4). Highly recommended.

Sorry, I’ve not got mine yet, but felt the first review is truly unfair since at the time of the review the vehicle had not even gone on sale, let alone available for hire! All magazine road tests have been positive so far, so a 1-star is just plain stupid..!

If I could have put it, I would have put minus 1 star. The diesel engine is really under powered I feel like a snail going up hill and the design is basically just a shell with no interior design thoughts. One positive is its only a hire car and goes back next week.
