The Fiat Brava was one of two versions of the same car, along with the Fiat Bravo, both of which were in production from 1995-2001. However, whereas the Bravo was a three-door hatchback, the Fiat Brava was a longer five-door hatchback. When it initially entered production, the Fiat Brava was the long-term replacements for the popular Tipo model. The cars came with a choice of three petrol engines and two turbo-diesel engines. On its launch, the Fiat Brava/Bravo even scooped the honour of European Car of the Year. The car re-entered production in 2007, but the Fiat Brava name was dropped and only the Bravo tag was used.

I have now had this car for over 5years and has not let me down out on the road. Its main foible is brake pipes, everything else has been just wear over the years e.g. exhaust 3 years, tyres only had to renew one due to wear after 33000miles but it was on the car when I bought it with 14000miles on the clock. Others have been replaced due to punctures but as the other tyre was part worn I replaced it at the same time at around £26.00. All in all it has been worth it mpg is not brilliant but on a run at 70-75mph it gives around 46mpg and running around 34mpg. My wife also has one that is 6 months younger; she had to have new front shocks at 2 years and 11 months so it was done under warranty.

A really good looking car both inside and out although I think the carpet is a little cheap looking which is a shame. Excellent fuel consumption at around the 52mpg mark and easily affordable to insure. Very nippy when you need it to be and comfortable to drive over long distances. Very, very quiet engine for a diesel. Excellent value for money.
