Bentley Continental GT

4.0 V8 auto - Big numbers are to be expected from Bentley. Its range of high-output supercars is renowned for mind-boggling torque figures and heady top speeds are usually involved too. List prices are duly top-line, of course, while the CO2 emissions that come as a result of all this super-luxury performance wil [...]

Bentley Continental GTC

Speed 2010 - Until recently the Bentley Continental GTC Speed was the most powerful convertible Bentley had ever produced and only lost the tag when the range-topping “Supersports” Continental was let off the leash in mid-2010. Building on the success of the Continental GT the “Speed” features the famous W12 6.0 [...]

Bentley Mulsanne

The Mulsanne is the first all-new bespoke Bentley in 80 years and is an important model for a company that took a bit of a beating during the recession (sales fell from 10,014 to 4,700 between 2007 and 2009). A £220,000 luxury limousine with a sporting twist that is in keeping with Bentley’s Le Mans [...]

Bentley Continental GT 2005

When I got my car it had on the Khan kit, which turns a lot of heads as it looks great! The car is not for driving around town as it only give its true performance on a long run. I will never go back to other make now I own a Bentley, it’s just a first class car. I have had most makes from Range Rovers to Audi rs6 and TVRs, and none of them come close to a Bentley. So if you are thinking of buying one I say go right ahead and get it, you won’t be sorry.

Bentley Continental GT Speed 2011

I’ve recently bought my Continental Speed as a replacement for my Aston DBS and, immediately, I can say that the Bentley is the better car because you get more equipement that the DBS. Also, the Bentley is more comfortable and more luxurious than the Aston- you get a 6 speed semi automatic plus various electronic gadgets as standard! Surprisingly, the Bentley is rather good in towns and cities, providing you put the shifter into manual mode or you use the ’sport’ mode when you are starting and stopping in traffic as the Bentley’s gearbox, for some reason, tries to shift straight to top gear whenever you are in heavy traffic. As you would expect, the Continental is extremely fast when you plant your right foot on the loud pedal, you are pinned back into your seat as the twin turbos kick in and proppel you to scarily fast speeds in even scarier times. From rest, 60 mph is reached in about 4.5 seconds and 100mph comes along in about 9.5 seconds, not bad for a car that weighs 2 tonnes. The Continental is very good at fast corners too, thanks to its 4WD system which directs power to whatever wheels have the most traction. For such a big and powerful grand tourer, it is quite economical. It is possible to get

Bentley Continental GT GT Mulliner 2006

Great car, fantastic performace, all let down by: The engineers must have left the tea boy to design the Sat Nav, no post codes, rubbish interface, slow and the tea lady must have designed the blue tooth phone system. How can Bentley spend so much on the development of a car, could then not have ask one of their mates at Audi how its done!!

Bentley Continental GT Speed 2008

I test drove the GT Continental. A very good car car but not a great one. Then I drove the GT Speed. What a difference! The handling and acceleration show a significant improvement and the car is slightly lower on the road giving it a sportier look, particularly with the distinctive wheel trims. A GREAT CAR THAT PUTS A SMILE ON YOUR FACE!

Bentley Continental GT Mulliner 2006

The GT has great presence, handles the road very well, is VERY comfortable and has an excellent stereo. If you spend the extra on a Mulliner specification you won’t regret it. The main thing about this car is its sheer speed - the acceleration is utterly relentless - it simply keeps going and is simply phenomenal for its weight. You have to drive it to truly understand. On the downside - heavier steering than you would imagine (because it is 4WD), not as noise proof as you would imagine (despite being double-glazed), tyre noise (because it is 4WD and has 20 inch rims), the bluetooth set up is very poor (limited to certain phones if you want to use your phone book or voice command) and the Sat Nav does not even use postcodes (it really is shockingly awful). Going back to the speed of the car, the same of it is that all that power is going to waste as there is very little opportunity to enjoy it. Oh, one more thing - you worry whenever you park it - will it will be scratched, bumped or have "extra" hand prints on it when you return? Honestly - a truly great car but I am not going to buy another one after I sell this one.

Superb luxury car. Indeed a Ferrari in a Saville Row suit. I’ve owned it for 12 months and I’m always excited as soon as I sit in the car and fire the beast up. Highly recommended. What more could you ask for?

I run a luxury chauffer business and the Bentley CFS is very much a favourite, especially for our VIP airport taxi service. A beautifully crafted car and as fantastic to drive as you would expect. The CFS costs less to buy and run than other luxury cars out there but has a real touch of class about it that others lack. 5 out of 5.

I have always loved Bentleys, they are a car in a class of their own. To own this car makes a statement and I very much enjoy using this car when attending meetings. It is the hight of luxury indeed but is also a car that will hold value and will never let you down which makes it an investment. Not a car you would use for everyday errands but something to be cherished and use for enjoyment.

Charisma. Some cars have it, some dont. Then there are the cars that have it leaching from every component part. These are few and far between and time with these cars is something to be treasured. Its about setting the alarm for that 4am blast through the city, plotting a route across a continent that takes in roads that look like an industrial accident in a noodle factory and never being able to walk away from the car without a backwards glance. Cars like the Bentley Arnage R do that to you.

If it were a carburetor I’d have said the idle jet is blocked, but not on your car, it is fuel injected and relies on the ECU to work out the running and idle settings for your engine. If your engine has been running ok and not sounds like it’s on 3 cylinders and not burning oil and too much fuel then follow this: Firstly, I would check the state of the oil (serviced lately?) if OK, then check or change your spark plugs as these are cheap and can cause all sorts of problems as most people hardly change them (or think they last forever!) Have a look at the throttle body (the part that has a lever mechanism and spring which connects to your accelerator cable) clean it internally with carburetor cleaner. Check your air filter - is it black? Change it! Have you had the fuel filter changed - at all? Change it! As the idler air valve generally is not adjustable with modern fuel injection systems, I would be tempted to run an injector cleaner with your fuel you can get this from Halfords and others, or if you really feel like it, take the injectors out and let them soak in the stuff overnight then replace. If this still doesn’t work you are going to have to get it put on a diag computer at a garage - Andy from Hampshire

Bentley Continental GTC

Probably one of the best cars that you can buy! Simply fantastic. Bit less room that on the coupe, boot a bit smaller but who cares. As quiet & refined as the superb coupe with the roof up & the best looking convertible with the roof down. Mulliner specification is the one to get.
