Having waited nearly two years for my RS3, I can only say it wasn’t worth the wait! In the six months I have had the car I am not inspired at all to sing any praises. Albeit a quick little motor it still has flaws that Audi need to tweek before releasing more from the production line. Its top speed is no faster than my S3 (of which I could find no fault with), but if nothing else the RS3 feels a little more solid around the corners and gives itself a slightly more luxury family car feel. However, the constant extremely loud screeching of it’s substandard brakes makes it an embarrasment to drive and Audi still do not know what they are going to do about it (if anything!) I’m not sure where the smooth gear change comes into play either and I find it easier to remain in ’manual’ even around town.
