Audi Q5 3.0 TDI 2009

This is a great car. It performs like a powerful sedan. The engine is great, giving you amazing sound and an all-round great drive. The suspension is a little on the stiff side, but this is what helps give it a sporty feel. You forget you’re in a crossover. The daytime running lights, bi-xenon lights and the led lights at the rear are a must have. And get the largest wheels available, trust me, you’ll understand why. This car looks horrible when people opt for the cheaper, smaller wheels. For sunny days, the full sunroof is an option worth investing in.

Audi Q5 2.0 tdi se auto 2010

In a word, disappointing. Thought this was going to be a great car, but I’d advise anyone thinking of buying a Q5 to ensure you test drive for a full day and over a variety of road surfaces to see if you can live with the dire ride quality, which varies from slightly bumpy to very jerky due to the overly stiff suspension. Also the switches can be somewhat fiddly to use and the 2.0 tdi has only average performance, if you want something more sporty opt for the petrol or 3.0 tdi. On the plus side good fuel economy, finish and handling.

Audi Q5 2.0 TFSI S-Line STronic 2009

Absolutely amazing. Reaching the stage in my life where I had two children meant that I was sad to see my Golf GTI go. I tried an MPV for a couple of months but it felt like I was driving a van. Oozing high tech features and the usual Audi quality, this model will put a smile back on your face. It offers decent space for a family. I find the front ISOFIX especially handy for a group 2-3 child seat, thus freeing up space in the back. If you cover many miles then perhaps go for the TDI. However, I’m a low mileage driver and love the power delivery from the petrol 2.0 TFSI. The emissions are lower than the Tiguan 2.0 TSI Auto, saving on road tax. It looks a lot better in the flesh, photos do not do this car justice. The daytime running lights and rear LEDs look the business. The only negative point would be the price (technology pack is a must have), but I believe you get what you pay for nowadays. There aren’t many of these around and it will save you owning an MPV and a sports car.
