Audi A2 tdi se 2001
Great little car, easily able to average 64 mpg and have seen over 76 mpg on a tank! Classy and practical with great reliability and residuals plus £30 road tax. Owned mine for 4 years and 45,000 miles. Now has 74,000 miles. Only needed three droplinks (a weakness) and one wheel bearing other than routine long life services (30,000 miles). Other pluses are fantastic sounding ’Symphony 2’ stereo and ’open sky’ panoramic roof (but make sure it works!) Downsides, well the ride is harsh and can become tiring and the engine is a little vocal but I can forgive it that!

Audi A2 1.4tdi 2002
It’s my second Audi A2 1.4tdi now, what a great little car. Fuel consumption is very good at today’s prices. RTF £35 per year. It’s got enough power to point and shoot but don’t get too brave, the power band is not that big. Why did Audi stop making them? Price.

40-45mpg round town £35 road tax - excellent build quality but there have been some electrical niggles.

Audi A2 1.4 Tdi
Great little car with fantastic ergonomics and a frugal yet spirited engine. Very stiff ride however and you do feel EVERY little bump in the road. If you are looking for a car in this class you could do a lot worse! Good residuals.
