How to remove the drive of the lock of the hatch of a gasoline tank of a polo heth 2005-2009 it is established in a niche on the right in a luggage carrier, and it is attached by which screw of a head it isn't visible. I removed plastic slips on a back right rack, but it didn't help. :( If to disassemble the hatch of a gasoline tank having taken out from it a plastic slip that can, and I will see something, but really it is a task for the gynecologist? And I am simply Russian engineer. Thanks to all who responded.

My VW Polo 6 sedan doesn't want to idle. I stopped at the traffic lights and when I wanted to drive off I realised the car is not idling. I then tried to turn the ignition on and it just cranks but it doesn't want to idle. I suspect the fuse and I opened the fuse box only to realise that there are no markings or layout info. I would appreciate if someone can tell me what seems to be the problem here?

Hi. Please does anyone have any idea about my clutch issue? While in traffic my clutch pedal slowly goes down like it gets sucked down, then I have to pull it back up and it's fine. It works fine in long stretches mostly traffic with the slightest touch it will go down, in traffic staying with first gear the pedal will slowly make its way to the bottom. This happens everyday a lot, I have to be quick to pull the pedal back so it can change gear. Please, any ideas what's causing my clutch pedal to go down? Thanks

I had the same problem and after months of research and going from vw to vw garage. Some bright spark remembered about a notice that was released. In my car it was the Activated Charcoal filter valve that was causing the issue. +- R700 later it was working perfectly. It is located underneath the Airfilter box in a 2010 polo vivo 1.4 trendline. It is in the fuel line. Thus causing this issue. If your vehicle is under warranty they might replace it for free. Eugene from South Africa

Hi I have a 2005 polo and I not sure if it the same. But on your dash board there is button type thing. If you push it in it restarts your mileage but if you twist anti-clock wise and hold it (without pushing it in) the time should change. I hope that helps. jade from Yorkshire

We have the same problem that has just occurred with my daughters car. The wipers have been working then stopped. We are tomorrow going to replace the fuse. We looked on the Volkswagen Forum and they showed a diagram of all the fuses. We think we require no. 2 fuse 10amp. Good luck! You may have resolved your problem any tips we may need to know? Hi. I`ve got a Polo 1.4 hatchback 2010 model and it was involved in an accident before. The problem with the car now is two things - when I lock it it keeps on flashing the hazards for like 20 mins before they can suddenly go off. The second problem is most of the time when I need to switch it on it shows "SAFE" on that lil screen and refuses to start, I have to take the key in and out before it actually starts, sometimes it even takes up to 30 mins. Please I need help, I don't feel comfortable with current situations.

vw Polo 2003 I replaced my front and rear brakes and the discs have also been schemed. However since then when I pull away or drive in lower gears the car makes a hollow metal sound coming from the left rear wheel side. When the wheel turns it also makes the sound like u have a flat tyre. This happens when you make a left turn. All of this doesnt happen in 3rd and 4th gwars. Only 1st, 2nd and reverse gears. I took the car back so they told me I need to replace the left hand brake cable as the casing was damaged and causes this as the hand brake cable doesnt release properly. I did that but the sound is still there. What else can it be?

I bought a 2012 Polo 1.4 silver Hatch back recently, I noticed last week when I was taking a long trip that it consumes more petrol than it should or the readings on the dash board are faulty. The petrol readings were showing the petrol is in half tank, but when I was putting the petrol it took 46L and I wondered why because it suppose to take 45-46L when it is empty. And when I was coming back the readings were saying the petrol is slightly below the half tank and I put on the petrol it took 39L. I would like to know what could be the problem here.

Hi. Wow I'm having the same problem. Just checking if your car is sorted out and what was causing this? While driving it loses power, revs drop, you can floor it and it won`t go but release the accelerator pedal and press again it will go. This happens a lot at low gears on take off, won`t rev up, keep releasing accelerator and press again but I worry someone might knock me from the back cause without warning it cuts off. Any solutions on this? My pedal was making a ticking noise so I'm thinking it's a faulty accelerator pedal sensor, because there's no cable, it's drive by wire controlled by sensors, sensor above the pedal is faulty, hoping it's that. Does anyone have any solutions? I hate to buy a part and it still occurs because electric parts are not returnable. Carl from South Africa

Hi Carl. I took it in for a diagnostic test, cost me like R200, it is the knock sensor or cam sensor that is busy going down the toilet. I too thought it was the mechanism behind the accelerator pedal but turns out it is not. Best bet is to replace both or if you like start at the cam sensor. Whats happening is the sensor must let the computer know when to fuel and when to fire, so when it bombs out the computer doesn`t know what to do and then does nothing. I hope this helps.
