Have 2006 movano, 2.5 with g9u650 ( I think it's a 650!) Engine destroyed itself - so sourced one from accident damaged- same year, Installed it -- starts- runs poorly- hunting constantly, If reved to over 3000- after 10 seconds it dies, Replaced fuel rail complete, Crank sensor, injectors working fine -- but there is a distinct pressure pulse through fuel return pipe from rail- and metallic ping from pressure release in harmony with the hunting. Does same with new or old rail. Any help appreciated please.

I have recently had to reach gearbox duel mass and clutch. 2to3wks have passed now I'm getting very load creaking and groaning sounds from front end passenger side. These noise are noticeable on uneven road surfaces also when stationary if you rock steering wheel you still get this sound nowhere near as loud though.. I checked steering fluid that's OK.. The aa have checked all joints jacked up and on the floor nothing loose everything tight. There is no vibrations in steering. Gearstick nor pedals. Could. Anything. Have been damaged whilst gearbox being fitted or has anyone else had this or know of this problem I can't. Use the van like this it drives me mad. Plus I think that whatever the damage is it will only get worse by driving please. Anyone any. Ideas

Astep by step guide to change glo pluggs on my vaxhall movano 3500di van as van not starting also glo plug indicator not coming on on dash have checked all fuses all ok got glo pluggs from garage just need little help to find and take out old replace with new

Answers

I don't advise you to try to change the glow plugs if you are not experienced. You can easily snap off one of the plugs and then the cylinder head will have to be removed to rectify it. Hugh from City of Glasgow

check you are getting power to the plugs as these vans have a common fault of the cables chaffing through mark wharton from Shropshire

recently had problems starting the van after a cold spell so bought new battery with no effect, did the usual checking fuses and connectors to the heat plugs and still nothing, bump started it and got it to the garage, mechanic got it running saying all it was in the end was the fuse for the heat plugs. checked fuses but thought ok must of missed something. now doing same again and fuses are fine. where is the fuse forvthe heat plugs because ive checked them all and no idea where this one is Please someone help as going insane

Answers

There are two fuse boxes but I don't know which one contains the fuse you're looking for. one is in the passenger side footwell and the other is under the radiator expansion tank in the engine bay (Yes really! what a bloody stupid place to put a fuse box). Have you checked both? john smith from Aberdeenshire

Battery was going flat after about a week of not being used so I fitted a new battery of the correct size. It went flat same as before so I charged it and bought and connected a solar charger. when I started it the next day the Stop light and the Battery charging light stayed on and the ABS and the airbag lights came on shortly after. The battery now discharges overnight but starts and runs ok except for the dash lights staying on. Is there anything obvious that could cause this like the alternator being damaged ? Ken
