I bought a second hand 59 plate Insignia SRI about 2 months ago. Seems to be a nice car but have had problems with the brakes. Every so often during a journey long or short when applying the brakes they don't engage. When applying the brakes you have to put your foot right to the floor to stop the car then the next time they are ok. I took it back and they bled the brakes but the same things still occur on a regular basis. Has anyone else had this problem and what was the outcome.

Hi guys, the gauges on my dash aren't working, the car has a digital display which is all working fine. The gauges that aren't working are not digital and are the rev counter, fuel gauge and coolant temp. Any ideas on how I can get these working? Is it just a fuse? If so which one? Any help would be great.

Hi, can anyone help? I have serviced my diesel Insignia 2010 (60) 2.0 and reset the service light and after a few miles down the motorway the 'service vehicle soon' message comes up and, no matter how many times it's reset, it still will pop back up. Done all filters, oil etc, could it be something else? Thanks

Hi, I just had my car serviced by my local Vauxhall dealer and it came back with a quote for replacing the turbo intercoler pipe which apparently has a hairline crack on it. They quoted £220 to replace and said that it's a very complicated repair, front bumper has to come off amongst other stuff. I did not agree for them to carry out this job as I wanted to get another quote in. I`ve searched the internet, that`s why I am here, and found somebody saying that it's actually a simple(ish) job to do? Has anyone anything to share on this issue? Any help is much appreciated. Regardless of the outcome I already made my mind up and I will not take my car to the same dealer again, just didn't like the way they come across. The reason behind is that previously I took the same car to them to investigate a noise coming from the front suspension. They didn't find anything so I actually went back another day so the technician could come for a drive with me, but he never stopped talking and when I tried to replicate the noise he tried to educate me on the quality of our roads, he didn't give a chance for the noise to come up and when it did he kept saying that he heard nothing.

Hi I have bought a new Insignai which is a 2010. The garage told me they replaced the fob as the buttons were a bit dodgy. When I got home with the car all was OK. And now the central locking is now very temperamental. If I unlock the car with the fob the buttons pop up and then lock again. And occasionally when I press the un-lock nothing happens. Can anyone help as the garage are telling me there is nothing to worry about. But I feel they are fobbibg me off...(Pardon the pun) Many thanks

Hi everyone, please I am having concern about my 2.0 SE hatchback insignia 59 plate dash white back light go or deem off slowly from the speedo, to rev counter and sometime all they all go off whilst the car still drive as normal and I can only count on the digital speed reader in the middle when driving at night but as soon as I park the car for a while the light comes on again and hasn't affected the car in anyway. Does anyone have such fault in the past or have idea what this could be the cause or what can I do to make it stable? Thank you all.

Have you started using a different key as this would need the settings re-configuring for that key? I recently started using my spare key as main one was playing up. With the key in and ignition on you can check the settings for lights, comfort settings etc by using the configure button on radio unit. Rob Latham from Cambridgeshire

My Insignia had just indicated error code 4 'Air conditioning off' and the temperature gauge has stopped working. I stopped and checked things over. The coolant level is ok and although I had done 40 miles of motorway driving it was not at high temp, (I could dip my finger in for a second without scalding) Everything seemed to be fine and I managed to drive home (another 60 miles) with no problem. Can anyone shed light on what the problem is? Thanks
