Hi have an insignia 16v exclusiv 09 plate. Has just had the engine replaced as it blew after saying "no a/c" and temp going to the top. Now it is coming up with code 3 again, (engine coolant) even though it seems fine, and also temp gauge keeps rising then going back down again. Any ideas? Also a loud knocking noise when stopping. Fed up with endless problems with this car and hue expense changing the engine and now same issue again. Please reply with some help Thanks x

Hi, I have an 09 plate 2ltr Insignia Exclusvi 160 and just serviced it for 40,000 miles after the service vehicle light came on. I deleted the service light but after 4 starts it comes on again. When it comes on there are 4 audio bongs. I see that Alex from Kent had a similar problem which turned out to be a glow plug and I will check them but the car is starting with no problems. I wonder about the audio warning. Has someone had this problem and solved it? Thanks for reading

Have had the car for 3months now and for the 2nd time have gone to use the infotainment system and it says 'Audio off'. Cannot find how to switch it back on. Cannot get the system to play radio, cd, aux or bluetooth. The on button switches the system on but no sound comes out of it. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hello, I did eventually manage to fix the infotainment system, but I am not quite sure how. I kept fiddling with switching the engine on and off and also the system. I also downloaded the manual but it did not help much. All I remember was using the indicator stick with the menu button on to flick through all of the audio and sounds settings and switch them off and then on again. It took a good hour to eventually get the system working. It might be worth giving a garage a call and asking to speak to an engineer over the phone. I have had to do that in the past with the Insignia for other problems and that has been helpful. Apologies for not really having a helpful answer but hand to heart I actually have no idea how I got the system working other than by fiddling for a while. Do let me know how you get on. Good Luck! I bought a second hand 59 plate Insignia SRI about 2 months ago. Seems to be a nice car but have had problems with the brakes. Every so often during a journey long or short when applying the brakes they don't engage. When applying the brakes you have to put your foot right to the floor to stop the car then the next time they are ok. I took it back and they bled the brakes but the same things still occur on a regular basis. Has anyone else had this problem and what was the outcome.

The gauges that aren't working are not digital and are the rev counter, fuel gauge and coolant temp. Any ideas on how I can get these working? Is it just a fuse? If so which one? Any help would be great.

Hi, can anyone help? I have serviced my diesel Insignia 2010 (60) 2.0 and reset the service light and after a few miles down the motorway the 'service vehicle soon' message comes up and, no matter how many times it's reset, it still will pop back up. Done all filters, oil etc, could it be something else? Thanks

Hi with a machine, the plug in and reset? It goes off then after a few miles comes back on? Thanks Alex from Kent

I had the same problem and tried a few garages to get it reset. I eventually went to the Vauxhall dealer and had it checked. They told me there was a problem with one of the glow plugs and can only be reset when the problem has been fixed. Sure enough, had the glow plug replaced and reset successful. Lovely, I`ll change them! Thanks Alex from Kent

I'm not saying that it's definitely your glow plugs but that was the reason my service light kept coming back on. The Vauxhall garage did a system check and said that they can only reset the service light when the underlying problem is fixed. Whatever the reason. Good luck. Hi, I just had my car serviced by my local Vauxhall dealer and it came back with a quote for replacing the turbo intercoler pipe which apparently has a hairline crack on it. They quoted £220 to replace and said that it's a very complicated repair, front bumper has to come off amongst other stuff. I did not agree for them to carry out this job as I wanted to get another quote in. I`ve searched the internet, that`s why I am here, and found somebody saying that it's actually a simple(ish) job to do? Has anyone anything to share on this issue? Any help is much appreciated. Regardless of the outcome I already made my mind up and I will not take my car to the same dealer again, just didn't like the way they come across. The reason behind is that previously I took the same car to them to investigate a noise coming from the front suspension. They didn't find anything so I actually went back another day so the technician could come for a drive with me, but he never stopped talking and when I tried to replicate the noise he tried to educate me on the quality of our roads, he didn't give a chance for the noise to come up and when it did he kept saying that he heard nothing.

Hi I have bought a new Insignai which is a 2010. The garage told me they replaced the fob as the buttons were a bit dodgy. When I got home with the car all was OK. And now the central locking is now very temperamental. If I unlock the car with the fob the buttons pop up and then lock again. And occasionally when I press the un-lock nothing happens. Can anyone help as the garage are telling me there is nothing to worry about. But I feel they are fobbibg me off...(Pardon the pun) Many thanks
