Hi. How easy is it to de-activate the boot opening on the key-fob and can you do it yourself via config? A few times I must have pressed the boot opening button on my Vauxhall Insignia whilst the keys were in my pocket and noticed through the house window that the boot was open. One time my laptop was in the boot and another time it had been raining heavily. Luckily the boot must have opened just as the rain stopped. Can anyone help? (Saloon Exclusive)

The yellow engine warning light just came on in my 2009 Insignia. The handbook says this could be the emissions control unit. Is it serious and will it be covered under the 3 year warranty? Many thanks for your help. (SE)

Does the Insignia have problems with the coolant level indication? The Insignia SRI petrol I am purchasing - the driver display indicated coolant low level, unusual for a car less than year old. Any information on this problem with Insignia would be appreciated.

I have just bought a 2011 Insignia 1.8 SRI. According to the manual the wing mirrors should fold in if the control is in the middle and you press it downwards. Is this just for certain models?

I’ve just bought this Vauxhall Insignia the other day and noticed one frosty morning that I couldn’t get the boot opened manually as it was frozen. It says in the handbook that on the key remote there should be a button to press that will open the boot or there’s supposed to be a button on the driver’s door to open it too. But I don’t have those so how am I supposed to open my boot when the handle has frozen? It’s the Sri 160 model I have.

Upon trying to remove the radiator cap, the outer cap came off but the unit was still lodged in the top of the radiator, and therefore I’m unable to fill it up. Does anyone know how to remove this? Is this a common problem? Thanks.

My car was locked up at work and all the windows came down, the keys were in my desk. Does anyone know why it would do this?
Answers
Hi Cheryl, I have a Vauxhall Corsa and a couple of times I found the car with its windows fully down in the morning. If you hold and keep pressed down the lock or unlock button on the key fob the windows will come fully down. I’m not sure why it does this, it may be a safety measure, but the problem in this case was either myself or my 2 year old son holding the lock/unlock button down for more than a couple of seconds. I hope that your problem is something similar as it is not anything that needs fixing. Try opening your cars windows using the key fob and see if that may have been how your problem aros. I hope this helps - Lee from Bury
As per handbook. You can open and close window using car Key. If you lock car and then within few second (I don’t remember exactly), you press key again then it will operate the window. I am not sure whether it is true for all model. It is worth to check your handbook - Dhaval Patel from England
