Our company has 4 Vauxhall Insignia and all of them drop calls when using Bluetooth. Three of the 4 are linked to iPhone 4 and 5 and the one vehicle is linked to the Alcatel. We have spoken to the local dealership and they don't know what the problem is. They have suggested we downgrade our iPhone system to io6 from io7...which I think is ridiculous. I hope you can help as these cars are our reps offices? Look forward to your comment. Sandra

Hello, Does anyone of you guys facing with issues that i do with my vehicle. Insignia 118KW, Sports Tourer, 2010 (month nov), diesel, 2.0. Problem that i have is that sometimes while im driving my navi system (DVD 800) restarting, actually radio just go off and after 1 min goes on by him self. I have been on service, and they were not able to resolve that issue. They told me they can try to make an update on my system but if that does not change anything then only resolve is to replace whole navi system with other one, what cost a lot more. Does anyone of u have/had same issue? Thanks

My car started to stutter and when in second gear with any revving of the engine it went into limp mode. It also stopped starting if I left keys in the ignition but if I left the car all night it was fine to start in the morning. I had the car checked, was told it was the alternator, had it replaced but three weeks later the same problem only much more severe. Can anyone help?

My Insignia was serviced in February this year by a Vauxhall dealer and ever since the service the vehicle`s lights come on every time I start the car. I turn it off by pressing menu on the indicator stalk. Then it comes on again several times whilst driving along. Took it back to the dealer and they said that the thermostat might be faulty. Anyone else have the same problem?

I've just had this problem whilst touring on holiday. The turbo intercooler hose was split causing the power loss. This causes the DPF to get blocked. The hose was changed, there's a shortage of these, and the DPF was cleaned. I just drove it home from Sweden after a 3 week wait and it was fine. If you keep driving it, you could cause expensive parts to fail. Good luck! C. Webster from Kent

Hi there, New here and would really appreciate any help. I have a vauxhall 2.0CDTI sports tourer. It has 86000 miles on it. Lately the car alarm keeps going off at different times of the day or night. I was in a garage the other day and when they plugged into it, it said it was the bonnet. I upgraded my lights to xenon and it was the ballest causing the problems with the bonnet. So rectified this and taught that was it. However the alarm keeps going off. Any help or advice please. I would be very grateful. Thanks Kev

In 2011 I bought a new Insignia with a dual fuel LPG system..I did 102k miles in it and during that time had to have numerous new head gaskets, thermostats, water pumps and eventually a complete new engine.the engine has just given up again and Vauxhall say I need another new engine and as it is out of its extended Warranty they will not cover it.the car had been correctly serviced and Vauxhalll have never implied Any negligence on my part but are unable to come up with any reason why this vehicle has been so jinxed. I am now in messy legal territory involving the fiancé company and wonder if anyone has had similar problems As I need to establish there was an inherent fault from time of purchase.

I have an Insignia 2.0 CDTi SRi tourer and less than a year ago had a new set of glow plus fitted following repeated warning 'Service Vehicle Soon' on the dash. After driving on the motorway today in very heavy rain the car lost power for the rest of the 30 mile journey. Could one of the new glow plugs have developed a fault? After leaving the car for an hour or so, I now get the Service Soon message but powe seems to have returned to normal! Can anyone help?

Answers

In my experence a faulty glow plug will not affect peformance, only the starting of the vehicle. The only job the glow plug does is to make the first injection of diesel into a vapour to aid the car's first "bang" so to say.Apart from getting it plugged up to a computer to see if there are any fault readings and depending on the mileage it could be a number of things, blocked EGR valve etc.If the problem does not come back I wouldn`t worry. Lee from South Yorkshire

Just a slight correction to previous answer, the glow plugs are pressure sensing and work on and off as you drive to help with emmissions so not like the old style plugs hope this helps jim jim wright from County Down

I have a 2012 insignia ecoflex sports tourer, when driving steady at 70 - 80 mph in the rain or heavy spray the car momentarily holds back for around 5 - 10 seconds, quite unnerving, doesnt happen in the dry, you can put your foot down but nothing changes, once cleared everything fine, no fault codes appear, been to Vauxhall nothing showing on their laptop. I know in order to gain more fuel consumption and lower emmisions, Vauxhall have redesigned the undertray to improve aerodynamics, just wondering if the air is being channeled into the engine bay more and when wet/damp may be affecting the air intake side off things, would appreciate anyone else who is encountering same problem. Thanks

Hi all..... I have an Insignia 2.0 Cdti Sri ( 160 ) 2011 with only 30,000 miles on the clock.....took it to my local Vauxhall Dealer for a full service at 29,500 miles. Told them while it was in could they find out why it rev's to 2,000 rev's between 3rd & 4th upto 4/5 times a day, they told me that it's due for a software update and that would probably cure the problem..... Yes it did cure the problem between 3rd & 4th but now rev's above a 1.000 rev's everytime i start the engine. After Speaking to Vauxhall on the phone, they said that it it supposed to do that....but when i said that it never did that ever before, they said it could be the updated software......... Does anybody have a clue cos i'm none the wiser !!!! Thanx

Hi. Does anyone know why I keep hearing a quiet long beep when I brake? Seems to be coming from back passenger side. Sometimes it just comes on without the brakes. I thought it was to do with speed sensors but dont even know of my car has it or if its turned on. There also seems to be a low pitched humming noise coming from the car when its locked and just stood there overnigh. Any clues please?

Answers

Regarding the brake noise you mention, it is most likely to be the audible wear warning indicator which is activated when the brake pads reach a certain thickness. You need to have your brake pads checked by an auto mechanic as soon as possible. The hum, I don't know about. I don't think I have it on my Insignia. Spook from Cheshire
