Hi. I recently bought the Agila and so far so good, except for some reason it has a radio/cassette player! Where can I get a radio/CD replacement without going into bankruptcy? Also, are there any other types of car that have sound units of the same dimensions? May help the search. I would be very grateful for any info. Thanks.
Answers
This is a sensible question as it looks as though it can’t be replaced with other ones. In fact, it can. You can buy a fascia to sit around the new radio - Halfords or local motor factors will help you, they are about 8 pounds, then you may need an adaptor to make the loom (wires) fit your new radio, 5 pound roughly. The radio is your choice - 10-40 pound for a reasonable one, tell them you are going from double to single din. Hope that helps - Ste Chaddy from England

I have just changed my Vauxhall Agila’s oil filter and need to know how much clean oil I need to replace...
Answers
Usually 3 litres but check the owners manual. And why didn’t you just try to, then use the dipstick to get it right like everyone else, instead of draining then waiting for a reply? lol - Ste Chaddy from England

What’s the recommended ratio of anti-freeze / coolant for topping up a 2005 Agila?
Answers
You will need a hydrometer to get this right, just use ready mixed, as we are moving into warmer days now, and since you are draining it its good practice to use rad-flush just to remove any rust/bad deposits that has built up - Ste Chaddy from England

Can anyone tell me where to find the horn on a 2002 Vauxhall Agila?

There are two horn buttons on the face of the steering wheel. One on the left, one on the right, either side of the Vauxhall insignia - Steve from Worcestershire

I can’t find the accelerator cable in my Vauxhall Agila. Can anyone please tell me how to find it? Thank you.
Answers
This isn’t a cable, it’s a drive-by wire, it’s a throttle pot. Just look on the throttle body and you will see. If you have a problem with this it may be the variable resistor on the pedal, or the motor on the side of the throttle body. Use a multimeter to test for voltage to the motor, this may require two people - Ste Chaddy from England

Why is my Agila misfiring when stood still?
Answers
A miss is caused by numerous things, you won’t be able to find the culprit as it requires diagnostics, but it’s a run down of ignition, fuel, compression. This is like standing at the bottom of a tree looking up at all the branches, which road to take? If you get it right it’s pure luck - Ste Chaddy from England
