What will happen if vvti fails? (vvti)
Answers
I have noticed that the vvti system is sensitive to service intervals. I have seen that if the service intervals are skipped, there is a possibility of engine damage. The oil in the engine deteriorates and eventually leads to the camshafts in the head to seize up. This causes the timing chain to break. The agents here just tell you to replace the engine due to damage to the cylinder head and lower engine parts. There is a small sieve located behind a 14mm bolt on the front of the cylinder head that needs to be taken out and cleaned from time to time - Graeme Till from South Africa
