Hello, I’m having problems with my radio. My car was on service last week and now my radio needs a code to work. I have the right code and I’m entering it in the way they told me but it isn’t working. When I turn my car on the radio shows CODE and then 4 zeroes start blinking. I roll little wheel on radio commands until the number I need shows, then I press the lowest little button and repeat that for three more times. After I entered all four digits I press for few seconds that lowest button and the hear some sound and nothing happens. In that moment radio should turn on but instead it just shows CODE on display and that’s it... Please, help me!!

Whenever I start my Twingo (since I bought it), two flashing lights appear on the dashboard. However it has always ran fine and the lights disappear after 30 seconds. I have had two instances recently, where I move off fine but the lights do not turn off like usual and the car is gradually losing power. Once I stop the car and turn off the engine and turn it back on the lights disappear. I move off with the same problem but the car seems to improve once I drive more. However the car is not running like it should be. But the next time I use the car it seems normal again. Does any one know the reason for this? Thank you.

Hi. I’ve just bought a 2011 Renault Twingo. I want to add front fog lights - is the wiring already in place? Do they work from the lights stock or a switch? Do I have to buy a new lights stork and wiring? Please help, thank you.

I have a 2008 Renault Twingo and it has no electrial power to anything. It is totally dead, the car won’t turn over. It has a new battery but just the central locking and hazzard lights work. Can anyone help?

Hi, just wondering if you worked out what had happened with this as the same thing has just happened today with my Renault Megane 1.9. Running absolutely fine until the engine just cut while driving down the road. I could put the hazards on, the immobiliser light was flashing and when the recovery guy attached the jump pack to the battery, there was plenty of charge and the headlights turned on. Central locking also works fine. Sorry to ramble on, just wondering if you knew the answer yet. Will let you know if I find out before you do - Katie Waters from Bedfordshire

Try disabling the battery negative terminal which should create a re-set. Re -connect etc, ...bingo!! Merlin from Lancashire

I am having problems with my car. On occasion, when it refuses to start, all the electrics are lit up, but nothing happens. If we roll it with the handbrake off and in gear and pump the gas and turn the ignition it jumps into life. I have had it at the mechanics and had the starter motor checked and cleaned and they said there was no problem!!! But it has just happened again. When it happens a round red light comes up on the dashboard. Many thanks in advance.

The problem is the immobiliser built in to your key, I believe. Change the battery or try the spare - John Simons from England

What would be the estimated max. lifetime mileage for Renault Twingo 1.2 (year 1996) ?

Answers

My 1995 Twingo has turned 215000km on the odometer and it still runs strong. I guess the -96 will do the same, it’s just a matter of maintenance - Kristoffer Hammerstad from Norway
