Hi I am trying to locate an accelerator pedal position sensor (part number 0205001208) for my 1998 Renault Master T35 2.5d campervan. The original part is made by Bosch, but they discontinued this part in 2011. Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks Gary

I am on the lookout for a van and have come across a 1999 lwb 2.8tdi with only 88000 genuine miles, it has been really well cared for. My mechanic tells me to stay clear of renault but it seems a good buy to me. Has anyone had one and what is reliability like. thanks.

I've had one of these vans for years, mine had done nearly 300,000 miles with only a few niggles. I did change the gear box for a second hand one but overall a great van. I used mine as a camper and travelled all over France no issues. Good on fuel and buckets of torque. Buy it if you haven't already. Patrick williams from Flintshire

HI,I own an ex ambulance 2.5d which is now being used as a campervan.Mounted and enclosed above the cab is a hot /cold blower for the rear of vehicle which I want to remove to give extra storage room. After removing the vent panel held in by four screws I can just about see there are what look like water hoses(I guess)running under the unit presumably connected to theheating system.So....can anyone give advise on removing all the gubbings without causing too much hassle,as I am not a mechanic but can do basic jobs, but the thought of leaks or upsetting the heating system etc fill me with horror! Thanks Mike

Hi Mike, my husband's van was the same when he first bought his. After quite a few hours of being checked up at the local garage and after testing various sensors on the engine via a computer plugged into the engine management system (a specialised tool), it emerged that one sensor which had previously been fixed before he bought the van had not been logged into the management system and therefore did not recognise the new part. Once this part had been registered into the management system the problem disappeared. Before this was remedied it felt like he needed to pull the choke out but there was no choke to pull out. Basically, the engine was starved of getting petrol to it, and when it did get going it was just ambling along which was a danger. Hope this helps and hopefully by now yours is fixed. Regards. Sara from West Yorkshire

Please can anyone help? My car revs up to 2000 rpm then gives loads of white smoke. It drives okay but starts to jump and puffs off smoke at 2000rpm. This problem has become worse and I only drive 40 miles a week. Booked it in for clip test, wouldn`t start. Checked relays, it started, couldn`t do test, pins too corroded. Started first time in the morning but once switched off it won`t start again, needs easystart. Put new genuine MAF on, no change, all injectors working, fuel pump working. Turbo air pressure valve very stiff. It`s 2004, 96k, had it three years. Could it be fuel filter, blocked cat (no egg smell) or oxygen sensory or just a short circut? No-one seems to trust garages, they just replace everything and fault codes should just read £££££. Any help appreciated.

I have changed the rear pads on my Master and everything seems fine, but next time you try to drive off the rear brakes are stuck on. I have changed the load sensor valve but still have the same problem, it has also had a master cylinder fitted at an earlier stage. Could it be a bleeding problem or brakes not adjusted correctly? All these problems started after carrying a heavy load?

Have you blocked off the egr valve? Sometimes this gets clogged and can cause it to smoke. They are a very hard van to find faults, I have had mine in 5 garages and not one can locate my fault. Check the internet for best advice like I have done. And fingers crossed my van will be back on the road tomorrow. Good luck.. Roger from Blackpool

When i went over bumos in riad the engine cut out slightly, a sequence of these mean i lost power only stalked once, there is a big black rubber button above where windscreen wiper resevoir is just underneath bonnet it is sensitive and breajs eventually, a guy in france replaced mine but with a second hand one tgat was lying around so it didnt last long so its doing it intermittently But they dont cost much and you simply plug it in so you can fit it yourself, but i dont know the name. You can check if thats the problem by putting your radio or cd player on if it temporariky cuts out you know its this wee electric switch, pity it is mounted where it takes the impact of the road. kirsten from Blackpool
