My Renault Kangoo has started to lose power. The fuel control stop indicator continues to flash on and off. I think it may have something to do with the bobbin. Can anyone advise? (Privilege 1.6 petrol)

My Renault Kangoo is running well but no there is no heat coming from the heater. Is there a bleed screw on this system or does it need pressure filling with coolant? Any advice is welcome, thanks. (1.9 diesel)

Hi, I recently purchased a 1998 Renault Kangoo that over time has started to develop a slight burning smell whenever the heating is on. The temp gauge never goes higher than below mid level so engine seems fine. Approx 2 weeks ago there were plumes of steam/smoke coming out the engine and some fluid over front of engine after 15 min journey. Breakdown tech and I both surmised water pump. Local garage have had a look and tested under pressure and found nothing so cleaned the engine and it was fine a couple days. Now the smell is back but oil and water levels are fine so I’m stumped and so are the garage. I have a long trip in two weeks to visit family and would rather not be broken down at the side of the road. Anyone experienced this or have any ideas what it could be? (1.4 Petrol)

Hi, my Renault Kangoo won’t start when wet or humid. The sensor was replaced but it still didn’t work when the first rain hit us a few months later. When it does start when dried, it "explode" a few time and bit of water is coming out of the exhaust pipe and fumes... Then all is fine. The garage seems to be speechless... (Kangoo Multix)

Hi. Does anybody know how to stop the test mode on the instrument cluster on a Renault Kangoo? It’s stuck in that mode and I cannot get it to return to normal. Thanks.

The tailgate was rattling a little when moving. I asked the local Renault dealer to adjust it for me as I use the boot space to transport my two labradors. When I got it back, I found I had to slam it to shut it with the result that the slamming has loosened the bulbs over the number plate and don’t come on. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the tailgate myself so that it will shut without using a lot of force. Thank you!!

The digital clock and mileage display on my Renault Kangoo are playing up. The clock has disappeared. there is no mileage showing and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and the alarm went off when I started the car. I took the car to a local Renault dealer and they were not sure of the problem after putting the car through a diagnostic. When I went to pick up the car the person told me that the battery was low in charge and it cost me £150 for the diagnostic test and battery. The alarm and all other problems I was getting have stopped, except the mileage counter - it is still playing up, although not as bad as before. What can be causing this?

The indicator is stuck flashing on the left hand side. I pull the fuse out and it stops but leaves me with no indicators. Remove the switch and it still flashes - anybody know of a reason as to why this happens?

I have a Renault Kangoo 685 van Y-reg. In December, I had problems with my glow plug light coming on the dash while driving making the van drive sluggish and seemed to be jerking then when breaked to stop the engine would stop. It started up again straight away but would do this quite a few times. I was told to change the glow plugs which had no effect. Then I was told this could be a bad batch of fuel (I had fueled up that morning). After using up the fuel, I filled up again and it seemed to get better. This hasn’t caused a problem till today when after I had fuelled up, the problems have come back. Could it be bad batches of fuel or is it something else that is causing the problems I am having?

Problem with starting. Possibly a fault on crankshaft position sensor. It is a bit like a hexagonal plug on the front left exterior of clutch bell housing. 1. Is it optical, magnetic or other? 2. Does it develop an electrical connection plug / socket problem? 3. Can it just be removed with a suitable long-reach socket, cleaned and replaced (like a spark plug)? 4. Any advice on removal / cleaning / replacement / repair of the crankshaft position sensor would be most welcome. This model has electronic ignition and fuel injection. It should start first time, every time! (1.4)
