Hi Guys. Problem with my heater, blower, aircon system. Works properly for about 30 minutes but then it's all noise and no wind. I can hear the fan blowing 10 to the dozen, but nothing is coming out of the vents. If i switch the system off for about 10 minutes, it works again for another half an hour. Any ideas? Thanks.

Car starts up fine however when i try to put it into hear nothing happens and it just revs when i try to accelerate. Turning it off and on again, sometimes 2 or 3 times, it starts to work. If its in Drive it starts to move forward like it would normally if you had your foot of the break but any acceleration is just reving the engine.

Good day, I have been prowling the net like a stalker on peugeot forums. i steal moments every chance i get! insane or desperate? enough about my antics... i have a problem that i do hope that 1 of the peugeot enthusiasts could help me with. i have a peugeot 407 2 turbo hdi for some reason the water in my coolant system mixes with oil. Can anyone tell me what could be the cause and how do i possibly rectify this particular dilemma. Then also my cooling fan dont seem to go on at all. or is it best to call it a radiator fan. As a result im too scared to drive my car as i dont want to overheat engine and possibly cause a bigger catastrophic problem. Please guys, i really need you help with regards to this

Answers

Hi; Your fan sensor is probably the cause for the fan not working. Because the fan is not working your engine has probably over heated; the engine gets distorted and your head gasket doesn't do its job anymore leading to water and oil mixing. You'll need to take your car to the garage; if you are a lucky and the head is not damaged a simple head gasket change will do; if the head is damaged it will need work that is done by specialists. First have the fan sorted; but beware none of this is cheap... Louis from Cheshire

My car has the engine management light on, de-pollution system faulty and esp/asr . It has been in 4 garages including an auto electrician and no one knows what's wrong. Car struggles to start then cuts out whilst driving. It can take up to 6 turns to restart the engine and then it cuts out again. It beeps with the dsf fault or esp/.sr then judders and cuts out. Peugeot did a diagnostic and got fault codes po351 po352 - "intermittent fault 1 and 2 ignition coils short circuit to positive short circuit to ground". Peugeot told me to try coil pack, ecu or wiring as they didn't know. New coil pack made no difference. Auto electrician checked wiring from coil pack to ecu and it`s fine. Sent ecu away to be tested and no faults. Put 4 new abs sensors on, new cam sensor, new battery. Had service and passed it`s MOT 5 weeks ago. I have had this fault for over 3 weeks now and I am just throwing money at it and getting nowhere. Can anyone please help?

Sorry Claire, I am not going to be much help. I have had very similar problems and the stalling for little reason, is downright dangerous and Peugeot should be made to rectify the problem. I have had the car eighteen months and I have spent and arm and a leg on it. Peugeot dealers charge £56 a time, just for a diagnostic that tells you very little. I am cutting my loses and the car is going before it kills me. I bought the car. One owner, full Peugeot dealer history. It counts for absolutely nothing. Good Luck. You will need it Andy from Nottinghamshire

Hi all, can anyone tell me why there is no 'power' when tackling hills/slopes? In general it seems to lack 'guts' and any 'nipping in and out' of traffic is not possible as there is no immediate acceleration. On a recent trip involving a very steep hill, I dropped it down to first gear and before long it overheated - I had to pull over!! Very embarrassing - the engine was not racing and there was no way I could put it back up into second as the car would have just stopped - absolutely no power at all. It's a 1.6L engine and only done 55K. Any advice/suggestion/answers welcome. Regards kippertie
