Hi can someone help please,I pulled out of a car park and as I did their was a sound under the engine that sounded like loose stones chipping up, once the sound stopped there was a warning signal saying engine damaged needs repairing and the Eco drive disconnected, does anyone know what could be wrong??

The USB and Bluetooth stopped working at the same time. Source button doesn't work and neither do the Bluetooth settings - it can't see my phone. Do these work on a separate fuse? Can you help?

When I connect my iphone/ipod through the USB cable it plays for about 1 minute then cuts back to the radio and visa versa continuously, it is very annoying. Peugeot thought it was a firmware problem they updated the latest but it still happens...... (I have tried using different cables and phones but it still happens) any ideas?

Hi I have the above car. It's the auto version. It's quite juddery/struggles for power when the engine is cold in the morning. Once it warms up the car is smooth as it can be. Also the car gets the following fault everyone often on the dash board - "gearbox faulty" and it won't let me go above 3rd gear. It also feels like the clutch is going, when started after standing over night it judders, but again when warmed up its fine. Can anyone shed any light on these three matters?

Hi, The turbo inlet of my Peugeot 308 broke. I'd like to know if I still 'safely' drive the car at 60 - 100km/hr? Tx.
Yes CKY. I had mine cracked on the NSE and drove back at 110km/h for the next remaining 200kms no problem. . I had since replaced it as they have came up with a new material that withstands Malaysian weather. Rgds. Rajan from Malaysia

Hi I have a 308 2008 model I removed the factory fitted CD player and installed my own... I now have a flashing display constantly on the time and date dashboard.. I can not change the time and date as the steering wheel stalk is not connected to my stereo.. How can I change the time and date and stop it flashing Please help

Hi, My car is a 308 CC and 10 years old! and still going strong. When opening and closing the windows, they make a loud squeaking noise, as if they need a good oiling. Any suggestions as to how I can rectify? Many thanks. Siobhan Conroy

Can anyone help? I recently purchased a 308sw in Spain and am already having problems. Every now and then the engine light comes on and says engine fault, repair needed. The revs will not go above 3000rpm and the air conditioning stops working. Once I pull over and stop the engine for 5 minutes and restart, everything is fine again. Does anyone know what this fault may be? Thank you.
Try sending back to agent for full computerised diagnostic check. I did mine and they found a faulty sensor. Replaced it and I am good. Clement from Singapore

If there are any tyre fitters out there that could shed light on an anomoly I have? My 308 SW was new in December 2015 and whilst giving it a monthly wash I noticed that the tread patterns on the car go in different directions. On the drivers side the chevron pattern points forward but on the passenger's side the chevrons point backwards. I've checked all the writing on all 4 tyres (Michellin's) and none of them say/warn that they're directional but it seems strange to me that the pattern direction changes from the right to the left. Peugeot must have known in their factory what they were doing but is this practice normal or an oversight at the Peugeot factory? The handling of the car doesn't appear affected but in adverse weather conditions this might prove a problem (or not?). Any help would be appreciated.

Hi to all, For the second time I'm having problems with the fuel gauge on my 2015 308 SW. I took it back to the dealers in March because even with the petrol right to the top of the filler pipe the gauge was only showing 3/4 full. They hooked it up to a diagnostic machine and no fault was found, yet when I drove away the gauge was showing full once again. All was well until a week ago and the fault has returned. It's a 50 mile round trip to the dealers for them to tell me there's nothing wrong with it, plus a 2 hour wait whilst they faff about with it. I've tried "rocking" the car to clear any air pockets when filling it with fuel but still it reads 3/4 when it's full to the brim. As a whole, I'm pleased with the car, it's comfortable, well equipped but niggling little faults are coming up. Any thoughts anybody?

My steering wheel has started to 'bubble' around the top. It is leather and As a quick fix I have added a cover from Halfords. Why is this happening as it is getting worse? How much would it be to get the leather replaced?

Question:- 1 When I apply the breake I hear beeping sound. Then no 2:- at night when I on my hibeam light and the beeping sound continuously non stop until I off the hi beam light And the same time the breake,signal, reverse light not working/ functioning....
Let me answer this question... The problem is earth grounding connector damage near rear stop lamp..... Course stop, signal and reverse light no function..... ahmad from Malaysia

Hi to all , I am interested in hearing from the person who submitted a problem with his and his sons 2010 308 Estate with a loss of drive when waiting at long cycle traffic lights. I have the same problem which is not yet fixed , my 2010 308 Estate is with the 1.6 petrol turbo engine automatic T7 version. It also looses drive on short trips only if its delayed at traffic lights or even just driving out of the driveway. The error codes have indicated Cam and Crank speed sensors and Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils all of these have been replaced including a peugeot software upgrade V8600997380 to absolutly no effect. It is currently with the local Peugeot agents who have absolutly no idea how to fix this problem having only recently taken over the agency, but they do have a nice new showroom with a range of brand new Peugeots . Does anyone have a fix for this problem?? is it an Engine Control Unit ECU fault it seems the engine looses all control input and runs very rough when the fault occurs, after selecting Park turning the engine off and on again the Drive has returned with with Engine Requires Repair and the EML indicating. With many thanks if you have a fix for this No Drive fault not even Limp Mode.

Hi,I've got a 2011 Peugeot 308 gti it was fitted with reconditioned turbo but now car won't start,diagnostic done and says ' stop start control and oil level sensor' if the ignition is switched on the engine light flashing and I get a screeching noise from engine fuse box

my driver side window would only close at an inch at a time; any ideas?
Had this problem on a different make of car , open window but hold on to button for a few seconds after window is fully down than do same with window going up this solved my problem. Good luck Tommy from Tyne and Wear

Hi everyone I have an urgent quistion for the person who submitted a fault with his 308 Estate Turbo 1.6 Petrol auto model and that is you mentiioned a problem with loss of drive when sitting at long cycle traffic lights guess what my 2010 308 Turbo Estate petrol 1.6 also has this fault which when you go to park place the hazard lights on of course turn the engine off and on again you have drive again, the fault indication reads Engine Requires Repair with the engine fault symbol indicated . The error codes indicated plugs ignition coil cam and crank speed sensors all of these have been replaced and after a software upgrade provided by Peugeot I still have a problem this problem is usually commenced by the engine running very rough as if its only firing on two cylinders. DID YOU FIND A FIX FOR THIS NO DRIVE PROBLEM ?? Our local Peugeot agents tell me that if the software upgrade did not fix it the engine may require replacing. This is one very radical fix for a car traveled less than 40 k. If you have found a solution to this fault in the UK I really like to hear from you in Sydney Australia.
Pat I should have mentioned the handbrake mechanism does not involve the brake fluid the brake fluid only comes into play when you operate the brake pedal which than via the brake fluid push a piston or plunger onto the brake disc . The hand brake is just a mechanical device with a ratchet with teeth for self adjustment. WILLIAM HENRY from Australia

have just had rear discs and pads in my 308 auto hand brake is holding on 5th notch before it was on 2nd notch garage says I need to drive about 80 miles before handbrakes up what I cannot understand is brake fluid has nothing to do with hand brake
Hi Pat from my experience in fitting brake pads to the rear the adjustment which is linked to the handbrake is slacked off to allow enough room for the new maximum thickness brake pads to be slotted into place, on most cars there is an adjustment which can be done to take up too much slack after fitting the new pads . If you now have much more movement of the handbrake it probable means that this adjustment process has not taken up completely yes with some driving and use of the handbrake the brake mechanism will gradually ratchet up. what you can try to speed up the ratcheting process just reversing the car a few times and brake, this should speed up the process. Normally as the pads wear down the handbrake mechanism takes up automatically and so the handbrake retains more or less the same position when applied. Hope that helps . William Henry Sydney. Hi Can anyone tell me how to disable the audible warning when using direction indicators ? I know there was no audible warning when I first took delivery of the vehicle so can only assume I have enabled this feature when I was trying to find out how everything works. Regards Chris Davison

HI! I have Peugeot 308 1.6 Petrol. We recently got MOT done. It passed MOT and all minor faults were repaired. Minor faults were related to brakes. After few days of MOT we started the car and it gave Orange light for engine and a warning "Anti-Pollution Fault". After switching off the car, engine keeps running for 5 minutes. Sometimes car doesn't allow us to go past 30miles/hr speed, since we started getting this fault but at times car runs fine but engine would stop 5 minutes after switching off. While running the car, engine makes loud noise as if we are revving it up. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

Radio not working at all, and contols not working on central panel. I still vet mpg etc readings. It's not the fuse, been advised it may be the "central control unit". Thoughts?

The dashboard is saying that the temperature is overheated and to stop. The fan is then very loud. Is it the coolant temperature sensor? Is the car still drive able with this issue?

We have just bought a 308 sw allure 120 s/s we have just noticed a small puddle of water after it has been parked up for 2 and a half hours any clues what it is ?
I had something similar with water under the sills which eventually became a sloshing sound from the doors. Service manager knew straightaway what the problem was. Some doors after being painted had the masking tape left attached over the door drain holes so rainwater that naturally seeped in was unable to drain away. He removed the tape and we had a deluge from the drain holes and issue resolved. Hope its as easy a solution for you. Franck Lynch from Cambridgeshire

Hi everyone ,I have a 308 1.6 Auto Petrol Turbo Estate, its problem is that it looses drive at long delay traffic lights , yes nil drive but engine is still running but very rough ,so bad engine vibrations can be felt, the rough engine indication is followed by nil drive. OK place the gear in Park turn the engine OFF and back to ON and you guessed it the drive is now back and I can drive forewards , but with the indication ENGINE REQUIRES REPAIR and the engine fault light is now idicated. So far I have fitted a new set of Bosch Ignition Coils and a set of spark plugs and the Cam and Crank Sensors, but I still have the loss of drive at a particular set of traffic lights which as a long cycle , NIL Drive not even Limp mode, does anyone experience this problem with the 308, my thoughts are now leaning towards either one of the Electronic Control Units are faulty yes there are two one for the Auto Transmission and the other for the engine electronic control , two computers in other words. The fault codes have indicated Spark Plugs and Cam And Crank Sensors but obviously these codes are just red herrings seeing as I have allready replaced these items. Does anyone have a fix for this loss of drive problem, not a problem if you dont have to stop at traffic lights with a long delay ....

done an oil change at 41.000 miles. now I have done 800 miles so why is there a spanner symbol showing on dashboard when ignition on then vanish when I star the engine ?
The spanner symbol on the dash inicates that a servicing interval is being reached. If you have changed the oil etc as part of a diy servicing, you'll have to reset the interval yourself. To perform the reset: 1. With the key in the ignition but the ignition off press and hold the spanner/odometer button underneath the main instrument cluster (speedo, Rev counter) 2. With the spanner button still pressed turn the ignition on (first click) 3. You should see a countdown timer (on the digital distance display) begin at 10 4. Wait until the count down finishes, then turn the ignition off. This resets the interval. Hope this helps Geraint Williams from Cardiff

HI ANY HELP ON THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE WELCOMED, CARS DRIVES WELL STARTS EVERY TIME THEN FOR NO REASON THE REVS DROP OFF AND THE ENGINE CUTS, IT THEN STARTS UP FIRST TIME. IT IS A INTERMITTENT PROBLEM THAT CAN HAPPEN AT ANY-TIME AND IS DANGEROUS WHEN IN TRAFFIC AND ON ISLANDS BECAUSE OF THE LOSS OF THE POWER STEERING. IT MAKES YOU LOOK A FOOL WHEN WHEN YOU WANT IT TO HAPPEN IT WILL NOT, SO IF YOU CAN HELP WITH THIS MATTER I WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL.

Hi i wish to leave my dog in the car but i cannot leave a window open slightly ajar due to them automatically closing...is there any way with either the key or inside the car i can bypass this? Or is it just not possible? Lemme know thanks Nick
