I can’t get into first gear with my Peugeot 107 and always have to pull away in second. Also the car has lost power overnight, it starts okay but I can’t get it up the slope outside my house. Can anyone help me with these problems please? Thanks.

As I was driving my Peugeot 107 all of the dashboard lights came on. The following day the battery appeared flat as no power and the car started after it was connected with jump leads. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Hi, I`m having fuel problems with my Peugeot 107 so I filled up and zero’d the speedo. I am only getting 41 mpg, what is going on? According to spec it should be more like 55+ I have only had the car since June 2012 so I`m not savvy with it yet, but does anyone have any ideas why my car is so juicy? I don’t drive like an idiot and almost always drive in fourth or fifth gear if I can get away with it. My last car was a 1.2 sport and that used less petrol than this one. Any suggestions please? Thanks. (Sport XS)

JHi, my friend renewed the battery on his Peugeot 107 but connected it the wrong way. Now it has no brake lights, demisters, wipers etc. All fuses are okay and I think it`s either the bis unit or speedo unit at fault? Can you get the BIS unit re-programmed? Any help would be appreciated.

The airflow direction selector on my Peugeot 107 has stopped working, it turns but the airflow direction stays on the screen, good for demisting, bad for warming feet. It jammed once and I turned it hard and it suddenly turned freely - but I soon discovered it no longer changed the direction! Is it broken, or has something become disconnected? Thanks for any help. I’m looking for a used Peugeot 1007 and have found two I’m torn between! One is an 06 plate 1.4 Manual, 37k on the clock and £2,500, the other is a 56 plate 1.6 semi auto with 18k on the clock for £2,300. Both have long MOTs and tax. I’m not sold on the semi auto gearbox so would welcome any views on that (good or bad) and am not a speed merchant (would rather get more miles per gallon), so wondered if anyone can comment on the MPG for each model? Thanks.

My Peugeot 107 has got water coming in from somewhere, I have no idea from where but the back seat is soaking wet. How do you get the seats out of the car and does anyone have any idea of where the water can be coming from? Thanks.
Answers
This appears - from other forums - to be a problem with the rear light cluster foam seals degrading over a couple of years. If you look under the luggage compartment carpet you may very well discover your spare wheel in its own puddle. Replacement of the foam seals cures the ingress of water. Consult with your local dealership for advice on the seat removal - Peter Flatt from Gloucestershire
My car (107 2007.mod.) did leak water from the door at the backside of the car (the door to the room for baggage). It was difficult for the garage to find it, but they managed at last - Lene Simonsen from Norway
If you have the 5 door model, it will be the rear passenger door seals. If the leak is in the boot will either be the rear light seals or the brake light seal - Tony Robbins from Durham

How do you replace the head light in a Peugeot 107?
Answers
First, remove connector plug (wires leading into headlight), use pliers to pull straight back. Second, remove the rubber boot covering the back of the lamp (you can use your fingers for this). Third, unlock wire clip holding the lamp in place and remove the bulb. For all the above, a mirror is needed to see the above mentioned procedures and also, be ready to leave a bit of skin on your car, I know I did. How difficult is it to remove a starter motor from a Peugeot 107? Do you have to remove anything else other than the two bolts that holds it on? I have taken a look from underneath the car and cannot see how you can take it out without removing a lot of items from the engine bay.
Answers
Tony, I am having to replace mine this coming weekend (16 Mar 2013) so will let you know! It should be fairly easy, having had a quick look - Matt Martin from England
To update anyone who may be interested... Replacing the starter motor is a fairly easy job with an axle stand or alternative to gain access from underneath. You will need 10mm spanner to disconnect battery earth lead first. 8mm and 12/13mm sockets to remove power leads. 14mm spanner to remove top and bottom bolts. Access lower one from underneath car. Upper one from between battery and engine top. Easy! Matt Martin from England

I would estimate about 5 litres (unconfirmed as yet) which equates to about 50-70 miles pending driving conditions etc. It is probably a bit more than that with pump/lines etc volumes but I wouldn’t recommend trying it out! If a car is under warranty and the exhaust comes loose, who is liable to fix it - the garage or me?
Answers
Hi, if the exhaust is not corroded or damaged, and has just come loose then the dealer may repair it under warranty. However, some dealerships argue that there isn’t a warranty ’class’ for this type of fault and may refuse to unless you pay. Best to argue it politely and play on the goodwill of the garage and customer service - Andy from Hampshire

Hi, can anyone please tell me if they have experienced this and what I can do. I have a Peugeot urban 2 tronic and it won’t start. It started and when I went to pull away it jumped and died. Now the brake is locked and it won’t start and is stuck in a car park.

I had the same problem, happened in a car park too. I ended up stamping on the brake pedal in anger and it went down and the car started after waiting for 45mins for the RAC though. I had to call them up and cancel the call out. That was two months ago and had no problems until this morning. Just been told by the wife it’s now happened again this morning. No idea what’s caused the problem though! - Marshy from England

Can anyone tell me if they have had problems with the 2 tronic gearbox? I went to leave work yesterday and the gears would not engage - it remained in neutral. The 2 tronic warning light was illuminated so it’s gone into the local Peugeot dealer - just waiting on the verdict! I’m not happy with reading the problems on here with clutches going and transmission problems - feeling rather nervous now. Unfortunately it ran out of the 3 year warranty last month (typical) but only has 16,000 miles on it - should there be such a problem so soon....?!
