Hi. I know this is a long shot, but I’m useless with cars. Whilst driving my Nissan Micra C+C to work, the car literally stopped working, everything switched off. I had been travelling at 40mph so had enough roll left to get to somewhere safe. My dad brought it back on his trailer, and I called out an auto electrician who came to see it, but he didn’t have no diagnostic tools so to speak he just literally put a screwdriver device onto the battery and the fuses and said "its most likely to be the electrical looms, this model has two". The radio still worked, but for the life of me I couldn’t get the car to turn over. The heater had been rattling and would kick in as it wanted a few days prior to this happening, but it had also the day before gone into the garage to have its MOT, which it passed. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem is and any ideas how much it would cost to fix? Thanks in advance :)

The cd player on my Nissan Micra C+C’s head unit is no longer working, the radio is okay but cd player comes up error and won’t work. I wanted to know if I could get another unit without the fascia and install my existing fascia as it is a limited edition car with pale blue interior and fascias. A grey or black would look silly and spoil my car. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Also the secret cubby hole in the passenger side seat will no longer open, it seems like its locked. I really don’t know what happened there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. (URBIS 1.4 petrol)

Hi, I recently purchased a 2006 Nissan Micra C + C convertible for my wife - almost immediately after purchasing the car the central locking mechanism failed and required a new actuator to be fitted (typical). This work was undertaken by a local Nissan dealer, and at the same time I asked them to look at the driver’s side window, as it is not sealing like the passenger one does (few millimetres off sealing fully with rubber - enough to cause wind noise and water leakage). The actuator was fitted and is working fine however the dealer said that it will need to go into the body shop for them to look at the driver’s window positioning. The only problem is that when I picked the car up from having the actuator done (on the passenger side), the passenger side widow is also now not sealing. I pointed this out to the dealer when I collected the car, and was told that they did not make any adjustments to the passenger window (I don’t believe this as I had inspected both windows before going to the dealers - one was leaking and not fully closing the other one was fine - that how I was able to make a comparison between the two windows and could see that one side needed adjusting). Now I have two windows that need adjusting. In short is it easy to make an alteration to the window alignment? And also, could the replacement of the central locking actuator have caused the passenger window to shift position slightly? Both windows look like they need raising a fraction at the corners. I am a little miffed that the passenger window, which was sealing correctly, is now off slightly, which occurred after the actuator work was completed. Hope someone can offer some advice, thanks.

My Nissan Micra C+C has been sat for few weeks unused/unstarted. Within last two days started to emit high pitched continuous shrill sound. Tried to restart car and battery needed jump start. Ran car for hour and a half to recharge battery but noise still remains. (I followed procedure for re-entering code via radio-no problem- but sound continues).

I am told by the dealer that my car, which has a 6 CD changer, has bluetooth for mobile phones. How do you get it set up. My phone does not recognise a bluetooth device.

Just this morning, when I went and opened my car and turned the ignition the alarm (which I didn’t know it had) went off. I am able to start the car and drive it with both alarm and hazards flashing? I have no idea what the fault could be, someone said I may need a new battery? Or key fob battery. I also tried the spare key and had the same problem. Does anyone know what the reason could be, or if there is any way I can disable the alarm, at least so I can drive it to the garage.

Hi. Check under the boot carpet for water leakage as the alarm siren is fitted in the boot and if the water level rises, it can enter the siren and short it. Also check if the lock/unlock switch on the center console is glowing slightly as this is another sign of water contamination. Remove the siren and dry out and spray WD40 on the multi plug and alarm contact when assembling. Hope this helps - Lee Bulloch from Yorkshire
Just found water in boot of my wife’s CC yesterday. A google search on ’Micra CC water leak’ finds a YouTube video on the subject. Can anyone confirm the source of these leaks as the seal on the rear light clusters, and if so, what is the solution? - John Crabb from Scotland
