Recently my L200 2004 model started making a sound coming from the left side of the front as if something is torn and then the oil just drained out. Temperatures are fine. Just topped up this morning and by the time i got to work which is 15miles away the oil was virtually empty and still dripping cant locate where exactly but its the front of the engine. Someone please advice :)

When I am driving, I am hearing a whirring noise from the front wheels which seems to be the 4 wheel drive engaged, but I have not engaged the lever. When I slow to a stop and press the clutch it seems to disengage again but after starting off again it engages again by its self and the green light for 4 WD flashes during this time and goes out when I am stopped. Can anyone help with some advice on this please.

Hi, My L200 2.5 has a strange problem. Its the warning lights on the dash. The headlight and main beam warning lights do not work. Is this fuse related or is it a poor co incidence that both warning lights have blown and I have to take the dash off to replace them. I also do not know if other warning lights are effected when running. Thank you.

Have a 2007 L200 4d56.Three weeks after changing the timing belt, the tensioner bolt snapped and I had to replace the belt. Any ideas has to why it snapped?

Answers

My guess would be a) You didn't replace the bolt or b) You overtightened it or c) Act of God, just plain bad luck. This is assuming that you did your installation correctly Brian from New Zealand

Shifting to neutral and back into the appropriate gear, which wakes up the engine to normal power until it repeats the same power loss once it reaches the higher sector of the Rev. Range. I have recently notice my L200 overheating. Upon inspection no coolant in radiator if I refill it then it leakes out under glove compartment onto passenger floor.what can it be?

Check the heater hose, this carries coolant from the cooling system into the heater and returns to the engine. It sounds as though it may have a leak and needs replacing. Zameer from Trinidad and Tobago

I have a 2007 l200 there is oil dripping out the bottom of the bell housing it's not engine oil as not using any oil. Is it likely to be coming from the gearbox side ?

Answers

Between the Bell housing and the engine there is a seal, that may be the cause of the Problem, the job can nt be done without the removal of the box as the spigot shaft enters the Flywheel, I'm sure it will be that seal that has perished, allow yourself a day to do the job. Trebor from Lancashire
