Can anybody help me? I was driving my L200 Warrior on the motorway and when I pulled over noticed my engine felt like it was mis-firing with clouds of blue smoke. There is loads of blue smoke while driving but in 5th gear around 60mph it feels and looks normal. When the car is at a standstill it feels like it wants to cut out and the car shakes?

The 4 wheel drive green light on dashboard is flashing all the time, except when occasionally you are driving the light disappears and a whirring noise is heard from under the front of the vehicle. If you then slow to a standstill the whirring slows and then stops and then when you move off the light on the dashboard starts flashing again, apart from a poulterghost!! what could be the cause of this please.

My partner has a 1989 L200 Sport DC Ute which has done over 300,000km and works great until it's cold. He goes to start it in the morning and it turns over but won't ignite until about the 7th or 8th try. Has anyone had this problem and know a good fix? The battery and plugs have been changed.

We have a problem when air conditioning is switched on for any length of time, there is water dripping into the passenger footwell. What could be causing this? Also the green 4 wheel drive light continually flashes. However if it stops then there is a whirring noise underneath the vehicle and then if you bring the vehicle to a standstill this noise stops and the green light flashes again. Any ideas on the above would be most helpful, many thanks

My 2005, L200 Warrior needs a replacement engine due to repeated crankshaft failures and a lot of money spent. I came along a 2008, L200 complete engine. I can buy it with or without the gearbox and accessories. Can anyone please tell me if the 2008 engine will fit my 2005 Warrior? I would prefer to buy it without the gearbox but i am not sure about suitability. I would be obliged for a quick reliable reply. Thank you

Hi,i have had new crankshaft pulley fitted to my l200 it runs fine until you go up to 2000revs about 45mph then the pulley starts to wobble do I need a new crankshaft?

Answers

Hi Nick, My 2005 Warrior snapped the crankshaft pulley bolt on two occasions, after which i fitted a replacement /used crankshaft. My mechanic thinks i need a replacement engine. So be careful. I would have my mechanic check it out, but for this you may need to remove the crankshaft in order to be able to examine it in detail. Only then, will you be able to determine if you need another crankshaft. I already spent a lot of money on this. Hope this helps, if you have not already fixed the problem. Daniel from Cyprus

Hi Daniel, Thanks for your response ,but I have fixed the problem by getting rid of the truck as I didn't have the time or money to throw at it in the hope I could sort it out nick0 from Staffordshire

Glad to hear that Nick. In my case I will have to fix the truck first, before attempting to sell it. It will cost me even more money, but I think it's the right thing to do. All the best to you Daniel from Cyprus

My jeep is hard to start and won't take over smoothly also the engine management light is on wat is my problem

Answers

If the management light is on then your power is reduced some what and will cause problems. The light comes on as an engine safe guard to protect it.Having said that my L200 Animal management comes on spuriously at times so I stop turn off the ignition wait 30 seconds and I'm off again. It's a common fault as have friends who own L200's and it happens to them. Mitsibushi knows about this fault and I think they are at a loss The main culprit could be the "Waste Gate" which is situated near your turbo it's a cylinderical piece that lies flat near the top of your engine on the right side and and one end is a piston that opens and shuts which controls your turbo when the turbo is engaged.Try using WD40 and sray the piston with it as sometimes the piston can stick. I think mostly it's an electrical connection fault. ANDY from Suffolk

Hi, I had a failure of my crankshaft pulley. It seems the old bolt was re-used to tighten the pulley after a cam belt service at some point. Now with a brand new pulley in place with a new bolt and washer there is still a small wobble on the pulley. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hi, I have a 53 plate Mitsubishi lwb l200 Warrior 2.5td manual, I had a recon engine fitted a couple of weeks ago and when I collected it the engine management light was on the garage that fitted the engine said it would need a new engine ECU to sort the problem as there was a problem with the negative earth from the ECU, The truck seams to run fine, No loss of power etc I took it to our local Mitsubishi dealer and the diagnosed the same thing and also said it would need an ECU and a immobilizer ECU I got both of the parts and they fiited them, The management light stayed off for a couple of test starts and then came back on, they now say there is a proplem with the negative earth from the Ecu, Does anyone have any ideas as the Mitsubishi dealers is struggling to sort problem, Many Thanks Gary

My L200 has recently started to judder when accelerating as if there is not enough fuel getting to it. It does not do this every time I drive it nor every time I accelerate but I obviously feel it needs to be rectified. It's done just over 100k, does it need a new fuel filter or air filter? Or anything other ideas what people feel might be going on? Thank you

My Mitsubishi L200 has an electrical problem. The radio does not work, the door warning light stays on and blinks and so does the clock. When you disconnect the radio the clock brightens and the whole is connected to the interior light wich turns all off when switched off. All fuses have been checked and all seem fine. Is it a relay box and if so which one? Thanks. (warrior)
