Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2000

There is rust now appearing under my Mercedes-Benz S-Class’s boot bonnet. I was told by the main dealer that this does not come under the guarantee. I was told when I purchased the car from NEW that the body work had a 30/35 year warranty. Was I dreaming?
