Hi, can anyone help? I have an oil leak and it seems to be coming from the top/front of the engine. It only starts to drip when I go a distance but when the engine is off it stops. I`ve checked the pipes and they seem to be okay. I`ve been told it could be the rocker cover gasket, is this possible? Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you lift out the small tray on the top of dashboard front left it's prob got things in that you have put there because it's useful for keeping little bits and bobs in! But is also when lifted upwards and out a cover to the second fuse box! I think that the fuse will be a 20 amp one and it's In position F212 Twiggy from Derbyshire

Help....my problem is that my van starts okay first time but lately if I stop and then start again it takes a time to start and also it seems to be lacking any power/ guts when driving and I have to change down gears it seems lazy or tired. The more I stop/stop the worse it gets. I've had the battery checked and that's fine, the diagnostic test doesn't show any faults, any ideas? I had a new fuel pump fitted about eighteen months ago. Would appreciate any help Thanks steve

Hi are you still lacking power with your transit ? try this. first fit new air cleaner second fit new diesel filter and third there is a sender on top of the air box it could be dirty inside you can clean them without touching the small thin wire inside remove the two screws that holds it in place and remove electric wires. I used neat bleach covering the thin wire 8 hours later cleaned our with water dried out in warm area refitted and goes like a bat out of hell my problem was the censer but changing the filters would make it breath better. Regards Andy andy watts from Suffolk

The 2.4 does not have the mass flow sensor you are talking about on the airbox.Use carb cleaner not bleach if yours has one, only takes 5 mins. Darren from Hampshire

Hi my 54 plate transit seems to be using to much water. I check it every 2 weeks and it is always an inch or so below the min line. Im not sure the fan is coming at all either however the engine seems to maintain normal temperature on long journeys and hasnt overheated yet. I think i can also see some leakage of water or deisel around the mid rhs of the engine, above the starter motor. Any ideas on what to check and how pls. Thanks Nik

I have a Ford Transit and I had one battery replaced on the right side by a local battery supplier. After replacement the engine management light came on and now stays on and the car is in limp mode. Is it possible that, after testing with the old battery still connected and checking the dump current of the battery, that the engine management unit has been damaged? How can I check this please?
