Hi. The diesel light in my Fiat Scudo Window Van stays on even though there is plenty of diesel in the tank. Can anyone help please? Thanks.

I recently bought an 04 Scudo black cab, the engine has been changed to the 2-litre 8-valve Citroen engine. While driving today there was a lot of black smoke and sparks coming out of the exhust. There was no loss of power and the engine sounded fine, there was however a strong smell of burning. Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

I bought this in December 2007 and it’s a great little van. After 60,000 miles, a new intercooler was fitted, it was good for another 60,000 miles until oil was leaking from intercooler again. I took it to the Fiat dealer again who checked it and yep, intercooler has gone again along with the turbo. No problem as it was under warranty. Got it back six hours later and a week on, oil is coming from the intercooler again, took it back and they say to me with 120,000 miles on the clock, you will not stop the oil leak. In other words, ’go away, your warranty is nearly done’. Well I put a new intercooler myself this time and there have been no probs. The van has now done 266,000 miles and it is smoking like a train. No garage can find the problem so it is now in my garage. The van is great but the Fiat I have as a back-up is useless. Now they are not interested, what should I do with it?

A light has lit up on the dashboard. It looks like ice breaking and the air bag light is flashing. Would it be the service light?

I have had to replace tyres in front of van 3 times since I bought it new in 2008. Only 40k on it now and it looks like I need to replace them again, always wear on the outside and dealer tracked them at last replacement. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? (Panorama)

Not got anywhere near this problem 1.6 Scudo with windows and 111,000 on the clock tyres last around 30,000 however I drive. Front and rear achieve the same wear rate. Would be concerned about uneven wear if I were you, get four-wheel alignment and camber angles checked not just usual tracking - Geofrey Iason from Moray (Elgin) and Nairn Shire
