Recently I had the small rear window (split door) replaced on my Fiat Doblo and noticed when in England that the heater on it wasn’t working. I think maybe a connection hasn’t been made during the replacement but where? Any suggestions?

Hi. Does anybody know where the earth lead for the exterior lights are on a Fiat Doblo? As I think mine have bad connections as they have gone a bit haywire. Many thanks.

What is the maximum width of this model including door mirrors? Fiat UK do not know because it is not in the brochure! All websites I try just give 1832mm, and with mirrors N/A (1.4 MyLife)
Answers
Just take the measurement you already know ie 1832mm and then measure the width of the mirrors x2 then add to the first measurement. Or failing that get a tape measure and measure across the vehicle the outer edge of each mirror - Steve Jones from Northamptonshire

Hi, I have a Fiat Doblo 1.9 diesel JTD (2004). There is a knocking noise coming from the front end of the car whenever doing slower, tighter manoeuvres, ie: three point turns. The mileage is 70,000. Any ideas as to what it might be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Answers
Sounds like a CV joint, if it is I would describe it as more of a clicking sound than a knocking - Tony from Leicestershire

Where is the glow plug on a 2007 1.9 Doblo located?
Answers
Usually under a cover next to the battery - Tony Kay from England
Take no notice of the previous answer, the glow plugs are fitted one to each cylinder you should be able to find them by tracing a cable that runs down the back side of the engine under the inlet manifold - Fred Mellor from England

On a Fiat Doblo, how do you remove the rear light cluster to replace bulbs? I have removed the 3 10mm bolts from rear door frame - somebody said there is a rubber plug on the rear frame behind the cluster but this I can not see. Can anyone help?
Answers
Inside the car in the corners behind the lights, you have a hole through the framework for you to insert a socket to remove the bolt at the back of the light cluster. Pain to do. My son and I took the rear seat out and the back quarter panel off to make it easier! - Colin Johnston from England
Easy job to do with one exception. A special tool is provided with the kit to remove the nut holding the cluster to the car (or use a socket on an extension bar). Grab a hold of the speaker grille and gently prise it away from the panel, it slides into the car not upwards. You can then access a large rubber grommet, remove this & the nut can be seen. I like to stuff a large rag to block the void beneath the nut (they are notorious for dropping into the bodywork, never to be seen again!). Undo the screws holding the side of the cluster to the body & the cluster should then drop out - John G from Buckinghamshire

Can anyone help? I have a Fiat Doblo active jtd (’05) which I am having trouble with locking back door? Also inserted key into lock and still won’t lock. (jtd)
Answers
It depends on the type of door. If it is a split door, it is probably the door handle mechanism. Take the door panel of a check. If the levers look in order and if so, lubricate the mechanism with WD40 while locking and unlocking the lock should be okay after that. If not, investigate further - Mark from Lancashire

Every so often I get a strong burning rubber smell from my Fiat doblo. This has happened intermittently but not regularly since I first bought the car new. The car has been serviced by a Fiat servicer every year since I bought it but I didn’t ask them to investigate the burning rubber smell problem because I didn’t think of it at the time. It doesn’t happen often. It has happened again recently and the strength of the smell is alarming.

Sorry, I don’t have an answer but I can tell you that mine used to do the same, but hasn’t done so since having the cambelt changed - and no, I don’t see a connection either! Robin Lings from Spain
