My cruise control stopped working, put car in to have cam belt changed by Fiat when I got car back cruise control started working again but only for a day. I phoned dealer, told them about what had happened asked them if fitter had found wire off and reconnected but was told that he hadn’t they said it must be ecu. Would they be right or is there another solution that I could try? (150 eleganza)

I took my Fiat Croma into my local garage, where I bought the car, because the service display and oil change display were flashing. After they had completed the work they could not reset the multi-function-display, so every time that I start the car the same display faults appear. Can anybody tell me how to reset the display? (1900 Eleganza)

I had same issue with my Croma, local garage couldn’t reset warning either. It seems only main dealers can reset this warning and charge £40 for the privilege - Jason Clist from Somerset
I have just had the same problem but went into my local "Wilcosave" where they had just bought a new code reader and they reset it in 10 mins - Gordon Hinchcliffe from Derbyshire

We have a Fiat Croma multy-jet 1900. The dashboard is showing rhs-power with a non flashing alert - how can I cancel this? It only happened on the 4th of November, when I disconnected the battery. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi Michael. To reset the sensor, hold down the ’rear’ right window switch until the right window is fully open, while holding the right switch down, now hold down the ’rear’ left window switch until the left window is fully open. Keep hold of both switches and count for the equivalent of 30 seconds. After the 30 seconds is up (while holding the right switch still down), put the left window all the way up, and then the right window all the way up. This will reset and the warning triangle on your dashboard, and the RHS digital warning will go out. If you have the same problem with your front windows, follow the same sequence exactly, though using the front switches instead. Hope this helps. (Fiat charge £95 + VAT to do this for you,so save yourself a few quid and do it yourself) - Pete from Lancashire

I am having some light issues. My ABS warning light comes on and off, and the rear window power warning light comes on but it works fine. There is a loud squeak coming from rear brakes and a rubbing noise has started at front drivers side wheel. Any help?

I had the same problem and I had to have the ABS hub replaced twice and this still didn’t fix the problem in the end. The only way to fix it was to have the ECU changed and it’s not cheap. Cost me nearly £1,000. I hope this helps - Mark Lund from Lancashire
I’ve had the same problems myself then the power steering went! Just had the ECU replaced, cost an arm and leg by Fiat and hey presto, everything is back working again. I love the car but starting to hate the small niggles that are costing me a fortune to fix. If I pay out anymore, I may as well buy a new car! - Mark Mason from England
