Hi. I wanted to just update my question posted on 25/04/12 regarding the side lights of my 2012 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso Vtr+. Although there are bulbs fitted in the side light sockets which is clear to see, I spoke to the dealer from whom I purchased the car and they are adamant that the side lights will not work as the daylights take their place and this is not an MOT failure. No doubt there`s a simple solution ie insert a fuse somewhere. I am not bothered but will ask again when I take it in for a service or anything else. As for the permanently illuminated lights on the fuel cap release button, headlight adjustment level and the air direction button, I have been reassured that this is all normal. Hope this helps to clear up any confusion? (vtr+)

Hi. My new 2012 Citroen Grand Picasso C4`s side lights don`t work at all. After having the car for six weeks now I notice that, when the day lights are on and it starts to get dark, when I turn the light stick controller for the sidelights to come on all that happens is that the day lights become dim but no side lights come on. This happens whether the day lights are selected on/off. The next turn on the light stick is the dipped head lights and they come on but the day lights still remain dimmed and so does the light on the release button for the fuel cap. The headlight adjustment button and the air direction button stay on permanently. Can anyone advise further? Thank you.

Citroen Grand C4 Picasso. New car, only 100 miles on clock. The service warning light came on and the screen display said "engine fault assistance reqd", The engine’s revs would not go above 1,500 and the engine kept faltering but got me home. The AA came out and could not diagnose any fault with their computer equipment. It was booked for collection the following morning. When I started her up no warning light came on and engine responded perfectly. Has anyone had/noticed similar please?

I keep having a problem after driving the car for about 10 minutes to half an hour - it cuts out, all the lights come on on the dash saying "depollution system faulty, handbrake faulty" etc... The garage can’t find anything wrong and I’m feeling rather deflated as I can’t seem to get to the root of the problem. I feel really cheated after paying for a car that I can’t drive for longer than ten minutes. HELP PLEASE!?!?

Hi, we purchased a Citroen Grand C4 Picasso at twelve months old. Since then we have had problems after problems, the car would not drive properly so under warrenty we had the oxygen sensor changed. The inside storage at the front of the car in the wind screen has broken. It is now wedged shut and the warrenty has ended. The boot trim outside is coming away. The boot will not lock properly. Now there is fluid running out of the steering wheel, and we have no heating and no fan. I have looked after the car by having it serviced when required and drive approx 12,000 miles a year. Is this the case for all models or have we got a dodgy car!? Thought about contacting Citroen to see what their take is on the car. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I would like to know how you turn the automatic folding mirrors off on my Grand Picasso. Any ideas?
Answers
If you put the little control for the mirrors in the middle and press it down just after you switch off the car or when ignition is on, this will fold them. When you use the remote next time it will not fold or unfold unless you use this button again (this is on the driver side controls where you select left or right mirror, but if you keep it in the middle, it will press down and fold the mirrors). Just play around till you get it right. Hope this helps - Kal from England

My C4 Grand Picasso would not start; the parking light flashes, then when turning ignition on the car switches off altogether. It takes a few minutes to come on again. I released the brake manually, turned ignition off, tried to start car and engine would not start. It sounds like the starter is not turning correctly... I tried jump starting but to no avail. I do not know what is wrong - the car is 3 years old. Can anybody help?

I have owned a 1.6 Xsara Picasso for over six years, have driven very carefully and have achieved over 58 MPG on a decent run (average on trip). I wonder if anyone can tell me what I should get from a Grand 4 Picasso 1.6 HDi VTR + EGS when driven in the same careful way? Many thanks. (1.6 HDi VTR + EGS)

I was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same problem as me. Since having my car in 2008 it has been to the garage 5 times with the same problem only for them to be unable to find a fault. When using cruise control an intermittent slowing down of the vehicle, as if the brake is on and it makes a droning noise throughout the car. We have also had to have the headlight bulbs replaced on 3 occasions in 19 months. I do not have confidence on how the breaks on the vehicle are going to be as sometimes you only have to touch them lightly other times your foot is nearly to the floor. I’ve lost confidence in the garage solving the problem as it went in last week for this problem, I went to collect it after they said they would explain what they had done when I arrived at the garage only to be told they couldn’t find a problem. I have refused to take the vehicle back until they fix it as in my opinion it is dangerous especially when pulling away from an island and you do not have the speed to get out of the way of other vehicles. Is anyone else having the same problem. Our car is a Citroen Grand Picasso diesel automatic.
