A Peugeot 307 SW question from James Dunlop

I have a Peugeot 307 SW and the anti pollution filter warning light comes on intermittently. I have several problems with it. On starting/firing the engine judders violently once and there`s a lack of power and revs self limit at 2,700. On acccelerating hard the engine cuts out completely. The car fails to start repeatedly, but after leaving for a few minutes it starts fine. I think all of these are related and problems do not always occur at the same time. Can anybody help? (SE HDI 110)

Answer(s)

Hi James. There is a fuel additive tank, should be behind the front nearside wheel. There will be a particulate filter also. It seems to be clogged (common problem). Also... don’t laugh... check your air filter! You never know it might be bogging Jason Allen from County Londonderry
