Q&A / Vauxhall / Combo

A Vauxhall Combo question from John Azzopardi

My Vauxhall Combo`s engine will not start straight away. However if you spray easy start in the air manifold it will start straight away. It has been placed on the computer and it is showing a fuel pump position sensor fault. This has been changed, however I am still experiencing problems with it not starting. Can anyone help? Thanks. (1.7 diesel)

Answer(s)

Sometimes the diesel lines from pump to filter need replaced, they can draw air in which causes hard starting. One of the switches on the pump itself does the same too, but also leaks fuel into the wiring loom. Bit of a pain to resolve Stevie from County Antrim
