5,000 voices deliver their verdict on the cars we drive
Car review website, RoadTestReports.co.uk now has over 5,000 consumer reviews published as it approaches its third birthday.
The website, launched back in June 2007, passed the landmark 5,000 consumer reviews this week after receiving reports across the spectrum of cars and commercials starting from its very first day.
Proving an instant hit with motorists, the website provides car buyers with the platform to discuss, praise and bemoan their purchases as well as an opportunity for those looking to buy a new car to do some well-advised research.
The website now in its third year, is fast becoming a renowned source of informative reviews from ordinary motorists and professional motoring journalists, providing a balance of reports featuring practical everyday experiences and advice as well expert verdicts.
Over the past three years the website has collected some interesting and entertaining reviews. Highlights include Keith from Lancashire’s review of the Volkswagen Passat CC which he says is ‘so quiet I that I’ve stalled a few times not hearing the engine,’ meanwhile Oli from Cheshire describes his Mercedes-Benz C-Class sports coupe as being ‘as smooth and manoeuvrable as Jane Torville on skates’. Antony from Northamptonshire describes the Mitsubishi Shogun as a ‘great workhorse’ while John from Berkshire describes how his Nissan Patrol has served him in the UK and abroad, dealing with the rough terrain of Antigua without a hitch adding that it is ‘definitely the King of all 4x4s and it’s really great when driving in front or behind of any other 4×4 ’cos their drivers know it too!’ Fiona from Oxfordshire describes her SEAT Alhambra as a ‘party bus’ and Daniel proclaims in his review of the S40, ‘I will never sell my car! Volvo for life!’
“Hitting the 5,000 reviews mark is a momentous occasion for us and with over half a million page views a month now, it demonstrates how popular the website has become. Now also featuring news, the website is the perfect place for motorists to network and discuss their cars and potential purchases as well as find out about the latest and greatest products coming to the market,” says RoadTestReports.co.uk spokesperson Faye Sunderland.
“The passion with which people write about their cars is inspirational. Contrary to popular opinion about this sort of user review website, the vast majority of reviews are very positive. People seem as eager to shout about their good experiences as well as bad, and it always impresses me just how much people love their cars,” she adds.
