Peugeot 107 refreshed for 2012

Peugeot’s popular city car, the 107 is to benefit from a refresh this year, with a new model set to arrive in the UK from February. The new model will feature a ‘new face’ as well as offer improvements to fuel economy, with lower CO2 emissions and enhancements to equipment levels.

With a frugal three cylinder petrol engine, the 107 was already established as one of the lowest emission new combustion cars available in the UK. Now, thanks to economy improvements, the 107 has emissions of just 99g/km CO2.

Changes to the model’s appearance include a deeper lower front panel with housing for the front fog lights, LED daytime running lights and a redesigned front bumper.

As part of the restyle of the 107 range, there are three trim levels, named in line with the naming strategy of other Peugeot range models (Access, Active and Allure). Within these trim levels, features such as Peugeot Connect Bluetooth and USB and LED Daytime running lights are now available for the first time on the 107 range.

In addition to the new equipment available, the restyled range also offers better equipment across the range with air conditioning now standard on Active level versions, alloy wheels and rev counter, Peugeot Connect Bluetooth and USB standard on Allure level versions.

Prices for the new 107 start from £7,995.

Perhaps surprisingly for such a small car, it is the 5-door version (with 59.6 per cent of total sales) that out-sells the 3-door model (40.4 per cent), proving that the 107 can transport four people in comfort.

Peugeot is still running its Just Add Fuel™ personal finance package too, for 107 buyers  to drive away with three years’ fully comprehensive insurance (available from 25 years of age), three years’ warranty, three years’ servicing and three years’ roadside assistance, all for a single fixed monthly payment (the Peugeot 107 is zero-rated for vehicle excise duty).

So far, over 650,000 Peugeot 107s have been produced since 2005.
