Sportage set to debut at Geneva

Kia will make the world premiere of an all-new Sportage at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show.

One of the highlights of the motoring calendar, the Geneva show opens its doors to the world’s motoring press on March 2. Among the bevy of world premieres and exciting concept cars, will be Kia’s latest offering.

With a fresh, bold new design, the Sportage looks like it is moving up in the world. Longer, lower and wider than the previous model, the new model focuses on offering more space for people and cargo. Its lower ground clearance means that the model moves ever more into the realms of the crossover category, but Kia promise that these changes will actually give the new model an improved ride quality.

It will go on sale in the UK later this year, with a range of petrol and diesel engines. Kia has yet to reveal full specification and pricing details, but expect more information when the Korean brand get to Geneva.
