Swift update for 2010

The  Swift range has been changed to bring it in line with the rest of the Suzuki range. From January 2010 the popular Swift model will be available in three new grades, which use familiar SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4 names.

The cute-as-a- button model has been on sale since mid 2005 with UK sales of 54,000 and global production now way past the 1 million units marker. It continues to be one of Suzuki’s most popular model as a cheap alternative to the pricey Mini. The revised range will give customers a wider choice whilst still remaining affordable; with prices start from £9,190.

Replacing the previous GL and GLX models, the new grades are SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4 with engine choices of 1.3-litre petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS; the 1.5-litre petrol model continues to be available with automatic transmission only.

The SZ4 model now includes automatic air conditioning and alloy wheels as standard; the 1.6-litre Swift Sport remains unaffected in the range.

The SZ2 features:
Side airbags
Curtain airbags
Electric front windows
MP3 / WMA CD tuner
Steering wheel audio controls
Body colour handles and mirrors
15” steel wheels
3-spoke leather steering wheel

The SZ3 adds:
Front fog lamps
Electrically adjustable & heated door mirrors
Manual air conditioning

While the SZ4 gains:
Keyless start
Automatic air conditioning
15” alloy wheels
