The Porsche Cayenne S handles & performs like its classic 911 stable mate but has the space & practicality of a large family run around.

The Porsche Cayenne S performance is quite incredible for a large 4x4. This car almost has the performance of a Porsche 911, but with the space & practicality of a large family run around. The car is equally at home around town and on the motorway as it is on race track.

The handling & grip of the Cayenne is fabulous - in any conditions. For the road test I was fortunate to be able to test this car on and off road. The capabilities of the car on and off the track were superb. The car handled like a performance car on the track at faced any challenge that it was presented with off road. The only criticism that I could possibly have is that the ride on the Porsche was quite firm - certainly a lot firmer that the Range Rover Sport. To be fair this is probably a trade off for the incredible car like handling, 20" wheels & sports suspension.

As you would expect with Porsche the build quality is simply superb and there have been no issues with reliability. The quality of materials used & attention to detail are second to none.

The Cayenne feels very safe, solid & secure with a lot of attention having been paid to safety & security.

Because the Cayenne is slightly smaller than some of its rivals the car is easier to use on a daily basis. Parking is certainly easier than lots of other large 4x4s. Interior space is generous enough, although the car is not quite as roomy as some. The interior layout is very user friendly. The boot is decent size & opens up with the rear seats folded forward.

The Cayenne is not cheap by any means, but offers value for money luxury 4x4 family motoring. The car is very easy to live with on a day to day basis & a relatively un-common sight on the roads. Very rarely do you pull up at traffic lights or in a car park to see an identical car next to you!
