The Peugeot 107 is the sister model to the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1. The 107 provides budget motoring in an agile, responsive and reliable car. The 107 offers low running costs, a great engine and a solid quality.

The Peugeot 107 is only available with a three-cylinder, 1.0 litre petrol powerplant. Essentially a town / city car, it is nippy and convenient around town but can still hold its own on the motorways. The 1.0 litre engine provides the car with plenty of urge. A semi-auto gearbox with a full auto programme is an option on Urban models.

This is a nippy car with accurate handling but the ride is firm with bumps really being felt as the 107 encounters rougher parts of the road. The car has an agile and responsive feel with good body lean. At higher speeds the 107 turns more eagerly.

The cabin is very welcoming and built of high quality plastics. The Toyota Aygo does shade the 107 when it comes to attention to detail though. The mechanics of the car are tried and trusted and this should lead to reliability. The 107 is built at a Toyota-designed factory and will follow the strict quality benchmarking that has helped build Toyota’s reputation for reliability.

Four airbags come as standard, side curtain airbags are optional. A Euro NCAP crash rating of 4 stars has been awarded.

The 107 can seat 4 average-sized adults with little fuss. The boot space is miniscule and not easy to access. The split rear seats can be folded to cater for any abundant load.

The 107 range is capable of more than 60 miles to the gallon plus insurance and serving costs will be low. Resale values should be respectable too.
