Well tha’ts the first revenue miles in the doblo .First impressions count a lot; and I think I’m going to like this machine. Whilst some of the fittings seem a bit flimsy the window winders in particular and the very tishy bonnet release overall the van seems soundly made. The driving position is splendid, far superior to the combo for example because you are higher. The little Vauxhall is cosy but I always feel a bit short of view, but the combo and the doblo share the 1.3 dohc power unit. This is a belting engine (except the cam drive which is chain) smooth lively and economical: a winner. Will comment on any issues later.

Only just bought the car this week, hopefully I’ve made a good choice plenty of room for 3 kids. Some reviews are good but on other web pages the reviews are pretty bad hope I’ve got myself a good car and that it turns out to be a reliable wee runner.

An amazing car! Goes off road with all the big boys, and can get out and in narrow places and out of troubles easily. Surprisingly smooth and quiet on and off road, easy to drive, no high/low gears or any need to stop for differential locking... just keep on moving and moving easily! Each time i think that I’m about to cross its limit, i discover I’m wrong again. don’t get fooled by the catalogue specifications on it’s 20sec from 0-60/// i used to live with sports cars and now I’m in love. Even on highways it surprisingly good again, I do 75-80 mph naturally. Do your soul a present, buy one and start to enjoy life!

I purchased a Fiat Ducato 2.2 multijet 100bhp in March 2007, this vehicle was 6 months old and had been used as their demonstrator the mileage was 1130. I am on a 56 plate (new shape). Since i purchased this van i have had 3 new glove boxes because the catches kept on breaking and it would fall down whilst driving. I have had the air scoop on the bonnet replaced because when it rained the rain water would drip onto the engine because it was the one for the LHD model; i have had a new indicator stalk because of a fault with the indicators blowing fuses. I have had the electric door mirrors replaced. And to finalize in mid November 2007 on a Saturday morning on my way too London the engine management warning light came on. i tried to get it looked at whilst i was in London but i was told i would have to leave it with them for a week as they were too busy to look at it so i contacted fiat Exeter where i purchased the vehicle from. And limped home on reserve power and took the van in the next day, i was told the needed the van for 3 days as there was also 15 recalls on this model. The van is still at the dealership and i am driving around with a ford transit thrifty hire van. As fiat cannot get the parts needed to repair my van. It is now getting on to nearly 3 months. That is 3 months i have lost off the guarantee and the tax insurance i have been paying and 3 months of finance... has any one else had problems like these? The mileage is now at 18000.

Brilliant car. Well designed and amazing to drive. The power that is put out of such a small (but turbocharged) engine is flawless. Spec says you can reach 60mph in 8.9 however I think this time could be slashed in reality. The blue&me is very simple to use and is quite a nice addition to have your phones phonebook listed where your mileage is. Voice commands are very simple. You just click the "windows" button on the steering wheel and say "Help" and it tells you the available commands for that option level. Got mine for £10000 brand new and I love it! 5*****

We purchased 2 1.4 grand’s from Piccadilly in Knaresborough. This one has had its fair share of problems but the tailgate holding water fault has happened to both vehicles and gives me most concern. Our Dealer is one of the better ones though and all faults have been rectified to date. The thing about these cars is that you get a lot of car for a little money. Yes, you do seem to get niggling faults at first, I should know, we’ve had over 10 fiats but once sorted you get a great car!!!!!!

Recently purchased my Punto, find it a great car to drive and very good on the fuel with it being diesel, it has the poke when u need it and is quick off the mark and also loves 6th gear on any long run, has all the extras for a good price and has many more than what classy cars have e.g. heated seats, mp3 player plug in, sexy driver etc.......

At first I was very satisfied with my choice and purchase of this great looking car, however if only the reliability matched this first impression. The car was recalled to fix a steering support (fair enough, these things happen). Then the dashboard came away from its fixings. That had to be replaced after the fix failed on the same day of collection. Now there is an electrical fault that tells you that the fluid temp is too high, this before you even pull away after standing overnight, again told it’s an easy fix just a software upgrade This too failed to remedy on the day of collection same old story, and now waiting for it to go in for further "investigation" COME ON FIAT WHAT’S GOING ON!! Hope this time they can actually solve something.

The Grande Punto is excellent value for money, spacious inside and gives you a nice sense of safety when at the wheel. The reason I can’t award the Grande Punto 5 starts is because the ride is a bit too hard with slightly too much road noise. It drives well as a whole though and I would definately recommend this to anybody looking for a roomy supermini.
