The new 500 pays homage to the classic car from the Fifties and Sixties. A chic and competent city car with great looks what will make it a very desirable proposition to its target urban customer.... read more

I had this car for less than 1 year. I loved it initially, but after a few months, I was very concerned about depreciation and build quality. The thing tumbled in value enough to make me sell after 9 months. I had to cut my losses before the thing was worthless! Its nice to drive if noisy and not too bad off road. However, while it was well screwed together, after a few months problems began to appear - very stiff 6 speed box ( 2nd gear impossible to use when cold), the engine ran very rough when hot in traffic jams, and the dash/seats were getting very rattly. I won’t buy another Fiat.

Bought the car new with employee discount, apart from 3 sets of rear tyres in 36K miles, 2 reprogrammes of the ECU, replacement of the EGR at 4K miles, new tailgate switch at 8K miles it is actually not a bad car, unfortunately with sales withdrawn and no advertising campaign when launched it is now worth nothing at trade in, unlike my last 2 multipla’s. The 150 multijet diesel is an excellent engine the only problem is the denial from Vauxhall Signum and saab93 owners that it is the same car and engine. Cruise control is essential to keep your licence and 45+mpg at cruising speeds! The only let down is the very poor fiat customer service and majority of the dealerships. I do not wish to have this car after it is 3 years old, the stress and worry would kill me which is a shame because it does everything I ask of it so well.

Blue with black leather and Aircon. Used as an everyday car its a bit small, boot will only take 2 sports bags and not child friendly. We have 2 cars as herself is a sales rep and takes a warehouse on the road in the Passat diesel. Having said that it€™s amazing the number of sales calls that ’require’ a smart lady rep in a dinky drop top. Don’t even mention the joys of topless motoring... No problems so far with reliability apart from having the roof slashed when parked which wasn’t the car’s fault. Fiat however made a full opera about replacing the roof and apparently hired Sydney Opera House to fit the replacement in.... Adequate performance from the 1747 4 pot motor. 130Hp and 0-100 kmh in 9 seconds so it won’t win any races. Handling is very good and will out turn much faster cars. Good buy. The early (pre 2003) version actually have a higher spec than the later ones which were heavily discounted by Fiat after the independent builder maker (Maggiora) went bust... later ones don’t Aircon or the higher trim spec of the originals.

We have had this van for 8 months done 36000 miles under duress egr valve faulty fiat will not change until "further tests have been done" van brakes down at least 5 times each journey due to valve. So far 7 recalls done more to be done. number plate lights corroded away and part of wiring loom too, drivers seat broke, door mirror glass fell out when door shut, new discs & pads fitted at 35000 ( last 2 vans did 100000 before new discs, same driver same job same everything ) pretty van but pretty poor.

The Stilo is a rubbish car! It has cost me a fortune in repairs and my latest one cost £700 to get the electronics working.

My Seicento has been the perfect town / woman’s car. Her steering is excellent making parking the easiest of any car I’ve owned. I have had no problems at all in the 5+ years that I have owned her. The only thing I would like changed is the windscreen wiper speed, which goes from intermittent to frenetic, with nothing in between. I wanted to buy a new Seicento but Fiat has been very short sighted and stopped making them.
