Renault Consumer Car Reviews

Renault Scenic 1998

I have had my Renault Scenic for 4 years now and I love everything about it. It is spacious, it is high up with clear all round views, it is comfortable and easily seats 5 adults. I have never had any problems with it and I am 100% sure that my next car will also be a Renault Scenic. It even has little picnic tables for the rear passengers and the seats fold up to make a really spacious luggage/parcel storage department. I would recommend this car to anyone who wants to have stress free motoring.

Renault Modus Oasis 2006

I’ve been driving my Modus for nearly 2 years and its great - smooth handling, good MPG, loads of headroom and has a nifty double-opening boot! Great!

Renault Scenic 1.5dci Dynamique 2005

This is the Third Scenic to date and possible the best in both comfort and economy, the previous two one was a 1.9 dt and the last one a 1.6 16v ,although both had there good points this series 2 ,has now made a very good motor even better, economy and speed, masses of pull with the small 106 engine and around fifty five to the gallon, only one fault is the design of the tailgate if you open this in the rain prepare for a wet boot, so beware, also the roof line being narrower than the doors also tends to let the rain into the door switches and the front foot wells, apart from these small problems a very good all round vehicle.

Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet 2005

Interested to hear about the imploding roof, the same thing happened to mine last year cost me - they said it wasn’t a fault with the car!!! The roof leaks at the driver side, has always been a problem. The more I think about it small things like the alarm saying on all night, windows dropping down, and engine trouble - RAC saying it’s a Renault!! I will definitely be buying a different make.

Fancy a life of never ending electrical faults, endless trips to Evans Hernshaw (Yes, If you’ve been there you know what I mean) Do not buy any Renault you have been warned.

Renault Megane Sport Tourer Dynamique 2005

I own a 55 reg with the 17" alloys and split tail gate. Having done 12,000 miles (it’s the wife car!) it has been very very good. Only one weird problem.... the door leaks water and it collects in the storage holder at the bottom. This same problem happens on my friends Megane. Very comfortable and an impressive list of standard features. More than a BMW! I can recommend this car without any hesitation. 5 out of 5!

We have five vans ( Traffic) of different ages from 05 up to 57 ,we now have two in the garage one with 96k and one with 112k that require new engine’s , as this happed to anybody else. The two in question are on three year lease which expires in May 08 Renault have refused to help with the cost of the repair due to high mileage, is it high mileage for working vans ?

The Renault Megane coupe - cabriolet is a bad car don’t buy one . The roofs leak .and they don’t start so good . A push now and then helps. Well done Renault and thank you for this crap car . I feel so sick after all the money I’ve spent on this car . Should have not got rid of my Nissan. Well we all live and learn. So if any one is thinking of buying a Renault . On your own head be it . One more thing to add, Renault UK, your cars are shit !!!

Renault Megane Hatch 1.5 cdi 2005

This is a proper grandparent’s car, with grandparent’s driver position, grandparents, style, grandparent’s smells, grandparents, driving appeal, grandparents everything really. Used one borrowed from my grandparents and was able to fully understand why so many grandparents buy this particular Renault. There is nothing wrong with the Megane, (sometimes there is lost of things wrong with grandparents), but we have to be realistic about car passion and appeal from some of us cooler type of drivers. As a family transport wagon they are absolutely fine, and the versatility of the model, the fuel consumption, the rear split folding seats, the stupid bloody playing card of an engine start up gadget, the pretty modern shape, (apart from that awful rear arse shape that has been drummed into us from those annoying adverts in recent years)! There is a couple of simple word for describing this model.......Simply o.k...

My Renault Megane cabriolet is 12 weeks old. Paid cash for it at Charles Hurst Boucher road Belfast anyone that is thinking of buying any Renault please please think again. The roof started leaking. Windows work when they want to. Some mornings it will be very hard to start. And the list goes on and on .and when you bring it back to Charles Hurst. The service staff will give you the run around. And blow smoke up your back side to get you out off there show room. At the end of the day when you pay for your lovely new car. Its f**k you mac we got paid. Ha ha. well Charles Hurst this is only the start of it cant wait until trading standards get there teeth in to your’s and the Sunday world.
