The Peugeot 407 SW is one of the best looking estates on the road - with its angled rear and short overhang it has certainly left the boxy estate looking dated. But is it style with no substance? For the average 4.2 family the 407 SW should have what it takes as long as you don’t have any six footers to accommodate.... read more

This is a very nice car indeed.Peugeot have designed something that looks a little bit different from everyhting else and it drives very well too. I recently test drove this and whilst I was impressed with the car’s handling and level of comfort I needed a car that would suit a family of six. Unfortunately, although it’s supposed to be a seven seater it really is better suited to five and I think Peugeot have made an error in trying to cram in extra seating that isn’t really roomy enough making it impractical for my needs. If I had needed a five seater however I would have been tempted.

Lovely little van to drive and a surprisingly quiet and smooth ride. Very smart looking and ample space for my stock runs. Very pleased I chose this van and I look forward to driving it for a very long time.

This has been an excellent car for us and our 3 kids. Never even considered before how practical sliding rear doors are for getting kids in and out especially when in tight supermarket spaces. Very spacious and the seats are very easy to remove and replace. Good handling and fine drive. Very pleased.

I’ve driven the pre 2002 Boxer and now this one and I’m pleased that Peugeot have improved on a good product rather than trying to reinvent it. Everything is here that you need with a few nice extras. The cabin is much more comfortable, the drivers seat is multi adjustable and the steering column also can be adjusted slightly, which allows a very comfortable driving position. Everything else is pretty much as you’d expect and that’s just how it should be.

A really nice car. The 308 has sporty lines and comes with some nice standard kit. Quite good on fuel and nice and quiet engine. My only gripe is the driving position, why is everything set so far over to the left? Come on Peugeot, this should be a great car not just a nice car.

I have a small computor repair business and needed something secure and not quite as big as most vans so this vehicle was perfect for me. It’s very economical on fuel as well giving 52mpg on average. Good safety equipment as well as the security features and drives very nicely. The only negative I’d say about this van is the drivers seat is a little unforgiving on your seat if driving for long periods of time but that’s easily rectified with a padded seat cover. Very solid and reliable little van.

Car looks great and have had no failures as yet but the gearing is poor. Have to be in first gear even on approach to roundabouts if not it will just stop! Power lets it down. Has 5 gears and hardly ever get into fifth as there is no accelaration. A very comfortable car with loads of room and great storage, enough for a family with babies! I have the 2.0l diesel model and it is quite heavy on the fuel on very short trips but not too bad on longer journeys Overall a lovely car but poor performance with poor gear ratio.

I bought my Peugeot 207 sport from new having been seduced by the smooth lines and the seemingly superior quality of the car. It looked the goods! The first fault to become evident was the safety belt/air bag warning light. This activated intermittently but because no fault could be detected on the diagnostic machine it was considered perfect. The car has been returned seven times for this fault, sometimes within two hours of being ’fixed’. Hopefully, after much threatening of legal action the problem has been resolved. But hey! - I have only had the car for two days after a three week stay in the garage so who knows! After a two month very gentle running in period (I do approx 6 miles per day) the car seat cover split from top to bottom, covering me and the rest of the seats with white fluff! Into the garage again and it was when I was checking the car on its return that I discovered the mismatched doors- one colour coded and one with a black stripe- different at least! In addition to this the car has been returned for four manufacturer’s recalls for various items. One satisfied customer? Not really. I wouldn’t buy another Peugeot if they had a 50% discount!
