Fiat Idea 1.4 Active 2005

This is a very good looking car, quite nippy, yet gives excellent fuel consumption, 60+mpg easy on a long steady journey at 60mph or over. There are a few rattles, but nothing too bad. Only 1 fault which was quickly fixed by the dealer replacing a faulty battery. Family car, lots of space, good mpg and reliable (so far) would have another if they hadn’t stopped selling them in this country.

Fiat Croma 1.8 Eleganza 2006

Nicely built huge Fiat. Plenty of room inside, super comfortable and super quiet. Has proved 100% faultless to date - its a shame fiat saw the need to drop this model in the UK

Scuttle leaks apart , the van has performed very well. The reported shudder in reverse gear has not effected my vehicle to date and I have not gone out of my way to make it happen. All other recalls carried out with no problems. Len.

Fiat 500 1.2 Pop 3 door 2007

I finally took delivery of my gorgeous Fiat 500 2 weeks ago and I just love it!!! It’s the most stylish little car out there and is such a good price; absolutely sips petrol and is cheap to insure. Really nippy and fun to drive and the interior is very funky. Enough space in the back for a couple of mates so it’s the perfect girlie car!

Fiat Sedici SX4 1.6 GLX 5dr 2007

A decent enough car for the price but there are some downsides such as engine noise, which I do find a little irritating on long journeys. However, it is well built and comfortable and does offer a lot of interior space. The fuel economy isn’t as good as I expected and general running costs have taken the shine off owning a new car.

Fiat Punto 2005

The car was good ... until I had a steering wheel failure while on a curve and the steering blocked and I crashed heavily into the wall ... this was on my 25000 km and the company said it happened after the crash .... and once the brakes pipe had leakage and I lost the brakes as well so I don’t think these things can happen with another brand at 25000km

Having 4 kids needed something with a bit of room as we travel a lot. Found ours on ebay and what a bargain. Smooth to drive, very comfy and cavernous when all the rear seats are removed (great for car boot sales). The only downside; which is a common fault with these vehicles is that the door locks sometimes have a mind of their own.

Fiat Sedici 1.9 JTD Eleganza 2007

I had this car for less than 1 year. I loved it initially, but after a few months, I was very concerned about depreciation and build quality. The thing tumbled in value enough to make me sell after 9 months. I had to cut my losses before the thing was worthless! Its nice to drive if noisy and not too bad off road. However, while it was well screwed together, after a few months problems began to appear - very stiff 6 speed box ( 2nd gear impossible to use when cold), the engine ran very rough when hot in traffic jams, and the dash/seats were getting very rattly. I won’t buy another Fiat.
