It really must seem like a big leap of faith to to many drivers out there to spend £25,000 on a french car. It certainly did to me, even as I nervously entered my pin number into Peugeot’s card machine. With so many good, small coupes from the Germans can Peugeot really make a competitor? The answer is absolutely YES. 110% YES. The process on deciding to go for the RCZ was a long one. I had tested the VW Scirocco and the Audi TT which had left me with mixed feelings. the TT felt as lively as a dead cat and the VW, while being a really nice car to drive, felt about as special as an ikea door. This led me to the RCZ. a car which will sell on looks alone. For me though it was in the driving that convinced me. The handling was grippy and steering informative at speed, the brakes had loads of feel and body roll was flat and minimal. Compared to the TT the RCZ felt alive rather than like a bowl of pudding. The interior was much nicer to sit in than the German cars too and DARE I SAY IT.. slightly better looking and upmarket in its feel. the RCZ Stunned me and after an hours test drive 4 months of car deliberation was put aside and the card was out. The RCZ has been called "A return to form for Peugeot" ... I’d say its more of a "return to form for small GT Coupes" ... and as a vivid car enthusiast, I am surprised it is THAT good!
