Dreadful car: Small inside and with many really stupid features. Despite REALLY slow/careful driving, drifting down hills in neutral, with very little town work the very best MPG I could get is a pathetic 44.3 . The wiper controls are a nightmare, obviously ’designed’ by a 3 year old, and no variable intermittent control. The indicators insist on giving 3 flashes minimum. I like to give a single flash to acknowledge others actions, just not possible. The headlights are useless on main beam, like driving down a tunnel, only one double filament bulb per light. If the dip beam stayed on too they would be fine. On main beam a glaring bright blue bulb shines up from the dash, conveniently blinding the driver. The seats become super uncomfortable after about an hour. The Bluetooth system is hopeless, doesn’t work at all half the time and when it does connect almost impossible to hear the caller. Most annoying of all Fiat miserably only provide one ’plip’ key, so the person with the non plip key can’t open the rear hatch without opening the car and leaning inside to press the button. Oh and the rear hatch opening is so small it’s not possible to carry a dishwasher etc, etc, which my other car, a Clio (a MUCH better/roomier car) carries easily. I’ve managed to get rid of my Punto today after 15 months of the most miserable motoring. It’s cost me a lot to trade it in so soon, but SO glad.

This was hitting 85 on the M6, 4 people and luggage on board and I swear I was hardly touching the gas. It went everywhere and the steering fantastic and light. Only one thing, the gas cap is fiddly to lock at times.
