Just bought a 2009 20d auto from a dealer. What a drive! It’s very responsive and definitely fun. I had a 320i 2010 previously and had to rev it very hard, whereas with this one a light touch and off it shoots. I have done just under 2000 miles in a month. and apart from the leather seats being a bit hard I have no complaints. I will definitely get another one. Also the mpg is great; at 70mph I got 51mpg over a 180mile journey when I first got it and reset the computer, and that included being stuck in a traffic jam on the M6 for a 5 to 10 mins. According to the computer it’s averaging 47.8 now after just under 2000 miles and that includes the supermarket trips.

This car is fantastic. I bought it in August 2009 and the suspension and interior is much better than in earlier models. Although the stereo is disappointing and the steering is heavy when parking. Next time I buy I will get power steering as it is a must. The new X3 is much better than the earlier model.
