Got a new 207cc Sept 2008 on 58 reg plate, car went into dealership after 5000 miles due to warning light activating after minor collision with kerb in icy/snowy conditions, and was told that along with other steering parts it needed new front discs and pads fitting at a cost of £260 (thats for front discs and pads only) this was due to excessive wear, dont bother mentioning the warranty, they said wear and tear wasn’t covered, but surely parts being made from monkey metal are??????. Anyway to cut to the chase the discs and pads were replaced elsewhere (original Peugeot parts fitted) and since then the car as covered a further 2700 miles during the past 7 months, the vehicle has just been in for service (2 year/20,000 mile service) with 7700 miles on the clock and guess what we got a phone call from the dealership informing us that the front discs are heavily worn and it needs new front discs and pads fitting - cost £260 in addition to service cost. They were only fitted brand new 7 months ago and have only covered 2700 miles, what are Peugeot making their discs out of?????? Are we going to have to replace the front discs and pads every year????? VERY NOT IMPRESSED. Peugeot’s argument is that it’s because there is not enough mileage being done and therefore you get excessive corrosion; how come our other car a Vauxhall which covers less miles per year than the Peugeot doesn’t suffer the same problem? It’s done 5500 miles in 2 years and discs are fine. The Peugeot does round trips of 16 miles 2 to 3 times a week plus general running about, it’s garage kept so doesn’t stand out in bad weather. Should Peugeot warn people and say if you don’t cover at least 10000 miles per year you will have to have new discs and pads annually at a cost of £260 because our warranty covers next to nothing.

I have been experiencing the same problem with my 207. I am just driving along and engine totally cuts out and power steering is lost. VERY DANGEROUS, have just been lucky that no cars have been behind me as would have caused a serious accident. Car has been back to Peugeot approx 5/6 times in 2 weeks and new software has been downloaded, fuel lines changed, fuel filter changed etc etc but still problem persists. After reading numerous posts on various websites about this problem beginning to wonder if Peugeot need to consider a recall before someone is seriously hurt...

I bought this car when it was 11 months old with 4600 miles on the clock, I have the THP150 and it absolutely flies, beautiful to drive and my 18 year old daughter loves it. Quite good on fuel consumption, first service was £47. It has all the bells and whistles. So far I cannot fault it, never had a pug before but if this car keeps up the great performance then I would buy again.

It has gone to the dealer today for its first service and have just had a call from them to say it needs another tyre and now needs new brakes and discs. Also, this car is not what I thought it was going to be. One year old and I have already payed out over £700. What a let down. Do not buy this car. I hope to get shot of it today. NEVER, EVER will I buy a Peugeot 207 CC or any other Peugeot. We have a Dodge; we have had it for three years - my god it has not cost us £200 in ththat time - not like that Peugeot. DO NOT BUY IT YOU WILL REGRET IT - WHAT A LET DOWN. IF THERE IS ANY JUSTICE IN THIS WORLD THIS CAR WILL BE TAKEN OFF THE ROAD.

Same problem as everyone else - depollution light comes on, car loses power. Garage ’fixed’ it, and it is fine for a few days, then - depollution light comes on, car loses power. When the car goes, it is lovely, but am getting fed up with it now.

I got this car in Jan 08 after trading in my convertible VW Beetle. The first 2 weeks were fine, then it rained... it leaks in through the roof where it joins the windows and has been in to the dealer on numerous occasions. According to the dealer, all convertibles leak and it is what I should expect!! Apparently this is what warranty is for. The level of service at the dealership is terrible and to top it off, the car has now developed a serious gearbox fault. I am currently in a battle with Peugeot to get my money back on the car. Does anyone else have a leaky 207cc? if so, you are more than welcome to contact me: karen.alabaster@kier.co.uk
