Recently bought a boxer after many months of research finally found the right vehicle with low mileage. I knew they were good but not ’til I’ve owned and driven it did I realise how good!!! Got the 120HDI with 6 speed gear box, currently the van is empty and returning 42 MPG which is stunning!!! Loads of cabin space, plenty of room in the back - only negative is seats come in different spec according to vehicles and can be too firm on bumpy roads - I would recommend this van to anybody!!!!

Had 03 2.2 Boxer for 4 years, no real problems and traded in for the 2007 2.2 autocruise which was bought in December 2009 with 9,000 miles on the clock. There was severe gearbox judder in reverse so Peugeot fitted a new gearbox and clutch under warranty - no quibbles. Cab now has severe dash ventilation whistle at 65mph and over which plays a tune similar to wind instuments.

Ill fitting doors so constant draught (no need for aircon) drives and feels like a ten ton lorry. Worst of all gearing is so bad that in reverse you could not back over an mole hill. Please choose any base van but this one!!!!!

I have a Boxer van 2.2 hdi 07, had new engine fitted at 22 thousand miles, new clutch, fly wheel starter, new exhaust. Because it was filled with carbon it vibrates nearly to destruction at low revs but only intermitently, if I turn off when driving to reset ECU it’s fine. Sometimes its fine when cold and it gives a warning when the rev counter starts to fluctuate, then it dies and vibrates and uses twice the amount of fuel. It’s yours for £13000 if you want it? £8000 on new engine, great conversion picks available, nowt but probs. Three months warantee left, can I give this thing back and get my money back or replace it with a newer one? I’ve fitted it out to the tune of £8000.00 grand motorhome wise, how am I fixed? It’s not fit for purpose, it won’t reverse without jumping - mike 07729700074

The worst pile of crap I have ever owned ever. Great cabin (c**p running gear), pulls well (when it works). Thinking of the future? Ummm... cheap to run (if you leave it at home due to spending 2-4 days a month in the last year at Peugeot). I hate to think of the cost when warranty runs out. Loads of room inside (when the doors will unlock). Peugeot UK? Who are they? They give you case number why? They do nothing; oh yeah sorry, Peugeot UK you talk c**p. Say with me egr valves, egr valves, egr valves, egr valves, egr valves, egr valves - that’s how many were replaced within 2000 miles. Software updates got me on this one - I bought a van not a computer. I did ask if they could try uploading windows 95 as I remember that worked quite well. Wind noise - sorted that one but don’t get chance really to comment as never reach any great speeds due to power loss, last 2-4-8 seconds quote by Peugeot UK - When this happens, bring it to us. Right, that’s what I have been doing, I know all your names and you don’t even have to put a key tag with my name on it, as it has its own little place at Peugeot with pillow and..... Well, THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE MY SAY.

I have a problem with BOXER L2H2 Furgon, 2.2 HDI 120hp. When I turn it on, the motor starts to choke-jiggle.The problem occurs only when the van stands and the motor is running. Any clues?

The Boxer van I bought is the biggest pile of c**p I have made the mistake to buy, customer support is pathetic, the van has had more recalls than a pair of old boots going back and forth to the cobblers. It has more rust on the engine block than a scrapped car in the 60’s, doors are all out of line. I have suffered more faults with this van than you can imagine I would have been better to buy a three legged table and put wheels on that, least I would get somewhere.

Stop!!! Constantly going wrong... New egr valve at 300miles... 1 month later… 5 software updates for egr valve in 5 days; countless factory recalls... 2 more egr valves at 20,000 and 45,000... Electrical problems, brakes... thieves broke in to back load door just below handle with alarm dead locking active... Dealership not very helpful neither is Peugeot customer service... 4 day call back... Still having problems. Aaaarrrrr!!!

I’ve driven the pre 2002 Boxer and now this one and I’m pleased that Peugeot have improved on a good product rather than trying to reinvent it. Everything is here that you need with a few nice extras. The cabin is much more comfortable, the drivers seat is multi adjustable and the steering column also can be adjusted slightly, which allows a very comfortable driving position. Everything else is pretty much as you’d expect and that’s just how it should be.
