Mazda CX-7 Petrol 2007

Good looking and exclusive - if you can do without the brand image of the Merc, BMW, Audi then this is an excellent alternative to their offerings. My last 3 cars have been Jags and I fancied a change so bought a 3-year old petrol CX7 for a complete change. As quick as a diesel S type Jag, more practical and more exclusive. Yes, it’s a bit thirsty (average 25mph) and the turning circle is crap in multi-storey car parks, but otherwise its a great car. £11k for a motor like this with just 30,000 miles, I can suffer the fact that I have to visit the petrol station a little more often than I would like. Better that than pay £25,000 plus for a 3-year old (box-like) X5 or M-Class.

I’ve had this car for 5 months now and I have to say it really does live up to it’s SUV/sportscar crossover sales pitch. You can really push this car and it just keeps giving; I do a lot of mileage, here and throughout Europe and this car has loved everything I’ve thrown at it. On the downside, it’s not the cheapest car in it’s class to run. Great family car, very comfortable and spacious. Good looking car too. Thumbs up.
